However, like any packaged food, she says you should still pay attention to the label.Crandall says, “So it might be a plant-based product but are there any added oils to get that flavor. So, if you are using a chicken nugget product or plant-based protein product again just be aware of the nutrition you need or your child needs that’s important.”Whether you want to live a healthier lifestyle, one thing we learned is that flavor matters. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court has passed up several challenges to state and federal gun control laws, over the dissent of two conservative justices. Gun rights advocates had hoped the court would expand the constitutional right to "keep and bear arms" beyond the home.Instead, the justices on Monday left in place restrictions on the right to carry weapons in public in Maryland, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.The justices also declined to review Massachusetts' ban on some semi-automatic firearms and large-capacity ammunition magazines, a California handgun control law and a half-century-old federal law banning interstate handgun sales. 654

WASHINGTON, D.C. – It’s a convergence of two health crises: the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and a new flu season now underway.“There’s not much flu in the northern hemisphere in the summer - but there is a lot in the southern hemisphere,” said Dr. Amesh Adalja, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and an infectious disease critical care and emergency medicine physician.Dr. Adalja said health care professionals have observed the flu in places like Australia and New Zealand during the past several months, which could offer clues into what might be expected here as our weather gets colder.“The southern hemisphere has had a remarkable flu season mostly because it's 99% lower than what they've seen in prior years,” Dr. Adalja said. “This has to do with the fact that the social distancing that people are doing for COVID-19 also has an impact on influenza because they're both spread in the same manner.”However, the U.S. has failed to control the spread of the coronavirus, leading to fears that the country might be facing a “twindemic,” where COVID-19 and the flu collide.The one silver lining: less international travel around the world may make it harder for the flu to spread globally like it has in years past.“The point we have to continue to emphasize is we don't know for sure if we'll have a light flu season and we have to prepare for one that's severe,” Dr. Adalja said.So far, the coronavirus has killed more than 210,000 people in the U.S. this year. WAUKEGAN, Ill. — Kyle Rittenhouse, accused of killing two protesters days after Jacob Blake was shot by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, will not face charges in his home state of Illinois, prosecutors said Tuesday.An investigation revealed the gun used in the Kenosha shooting was purchased, stored and used in Wisconsin, the Lake County (Illinois) State’s Attorney’s Office said. There is no evidence the gun was ever physically possessed by 17-year-old Rittenhouse in Illinois, the office said.Rittenhouse, who is from Antioch, Illinois, remains held in a juvenile detention center in Lake County without bond due to pending criminal charges in Kenosha.
