(KGTV) - A high demand for power coupled with high temperatures led the California Independent System Operator Corporation (ISO) to issue a statewide Flex Alert Tuesday. A Flex Alert is issued when the electricity grid is “under stress” because of persistent hot temperatures, or generation or transmission outages, according to the ISO.Although San Diego remained relatively cool, with a high temperature in the 70s, other cities in California were put under heat advisories. Sacramento temperatures topped 100 degrees, while San Francisco reached the 90s. San Diego Gas and Electric told 10News it reached out to 160 medium-to-large customers, mainly businesses, and asked them to conserve power between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.The ISO reported energy use would reach a peak of 42,800 megawatts Tuesday evening. (KGTV) — An 8-year-old Guatemalan boy in the care of U.S. Customs and Border Protection died shortly after midnight Tuesday in New Mexico, officials say.The child was in CBP custody when an agent noticed him showing signs of illness Monday. The child and his father were transferred to Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in New Mexico, where staff diagnosed the boy with a common cold and fever.The boy was released with prescriptions for Ibuprofen and amoxicillin later that day, officials said.RELATED: The final hours of Jakelin Caal Maquin, the Guatemalan girl who died in Border Patrol custodyMonday night, officials said the boy began vomiting and was taken back to the medical center, where officials say he died shortly after midnight Tuesday. (KGTV) - A man accused of leading police on a lengthy, high-speed pursuit in Oklahoma City Friday recorded the incident on Facebook Live.Sirens could be heard blaring in the background as the man drives the reportedly stolen truck. The man identified himself as the suspect in the chase, yelling, "I'm in a high-speed chase, bro!" out the window at another person.Watch the video below:At least three crashes were caused as a result of the hours-long chase, according to KOCO in Oklahoma.The chase began on Interstate 240 in southwest Oklahoma City and continued into Moore, OK.
