(KGTV) - The forward rate of spread of the Dehesa Fire burning in East County has been stopped, Cal Fire tweeted just after 5 p.m. The flames broke out about 3 p.m. east of Dehesa and Sloane Canyon Roads near Sycuan Casino, Cal Fire officials told 10News. Sky10 video indicated the flames were on a ridge above the Sweetwater River and Beaver Hollow.By 8 p.m. the fire had burned 200 acres and was 10 percent contained, Cal Fire reported. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office tweeted evacuations were underway for a "handful of structures" at Sycuan Truck Trail and Japatul Road. Employees of the nearby Dehesa School District offices were told to go home. By 8 p.m., all evacuations were lifted. Fire danger was increased due to dry weather Tuesday. Colorado voters rejected a ballot measure that, if passed, would have banned abortions in the state after the 22nd week of a woman’s pregnancy unless her life is at risk and potentially punished doctors who performed them.ABC News called the race around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, with 60% of Coloradans voting against Proposition 115’s passage, compared to 40% who voted in favor of the measure, with 79% of precincts reporting.Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains Action Fund President and CEO Vicki Cowart released a statement Tuesday evening praising Coloradans’ decision."Today, we can proudly confirm that Colorado remains a safe haven for access to the full spectrum of sexual and reproductive health care, including abortion care. Once again, Colorado voters confirmed what we have always known: that health care decisions belong between a patient and their health care provider, without political interference,” Cowart said.The rejection of Proposition 115 means abortions will continue to be legal at any time during a woman’s pregnancy in Colorado, with a restriction which specifies that the parents or guardians of a minor seeking an abortion must receive written notification about the procedure at least 48 hours in advance.If Proposition 115 had passed, a doctor who broke the rule and performed an abortion outside of 22 weeks would have been guilty of a class 1 misdemeanor, which would have been punishable by a fine.Physicians who performed abortions outside of the 22-week window would have faced disciplinary action by the state medical board and a suspension of their license of at least three years under the proposal. Women who received an abortion would not have been penalized had Proposition 115 passed.The number of abortions performed in the state after 22 weeks is hard to come by. The Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment (CDPHE) believes the number is between 20 to 300 per year. COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Brody Allen, the 2-year-old from Ohio who got an early Christmas this year because doctors said he wouldn't live until December, has died.Brody's father, Todd Allen, posted the news on Facebook Friday."This morning at 6 a.m. Brody passed quietly, and peacefully in the arms of his mother Shilo," he wrote. "He did not suffer. He was surrounded by his family and I have no doubt many angels. While our sadness is immeasurable and we will miss his smiling beautiful soul, we are also comforted in knowing that today our son has touched the face of God."Hundreds of people lined the streets of Colerain Township last month to put on a Christmas parade for Brody after doctors said he wouldn't live long enough to celebrate on the holiday.Neighbors decorated their homes, Brody rode a float in the parade and he got to celebrate at a party with Santa Claus and fireworks."He was so happy, Brody’s sister, McKenzie Allen, said that day. "It was amazing. Not just for him, but for everybody."Word of the early Christmas celebration for Brody spread far once it hit social media. Todd Allen previously said the family was receiving Christmas cards from all over the world."The letters are a blessing to us all. It's become a significant part of our day.
