LAKE HODGES (KGTV) - A San Diego woman tells 10News she was bit by a tick at Lake Hodges and diagnosed with Lyme disease a month later. Sheila Greer has hiked Lake Hodges for 33 years she tells 10News, "I've never had an issue." Greer hiked the same trails at the end of June. She says that's when she believes she got bit by a tick, "The trail had bushes coming up that I would have to brush through and something in the back of my mind said, that's a prime area for ticks. But, I discounted it because I've hiked there for 33 years." Greer got diagnosed with Lyme disease a month after the tick bite. Usually, tick bites have a ring around the bite but her's did not. For that reason, she thought it was a spider bite and waited to see a doctor. She tells 10News she struggled with neck pains and unbearable headaches. Greer finally got a Western Blot test which confirmed her diagnosis. The County of San Diego tells 10News, "Lyme disease is rare San Diego County and we have not had a positive tick found in many years." Because Greer thought she had a spider bite, she didn't know to look for a tick to bring to the county for testing. Greer has been seeing a doctor regularly and is now on antibiotics, "I'm taking antibiotics and I'll be taking antibiotics for a minimum of three months, maybe much longer." 1322

They were made by the executive director and co-founder of the pageant, David Marmel. He "subjected them to listening to racial stereotypes about African-American Women and African-American men," Alred said.A white participant overheard the conversation, she said. The people who heard the comments shared that information with their families after it occurred.The contestants have come out with the information now to ensure pageant participants in the future will not endure the alleged racial bias. Lawyers for CNN and the Trump administration are awaiting an initial ruling on the network's federal lawsuit over press access to the White House.And they're going to have to wait a little while longer.Judge Timothy J. Kelly heard nearly two hours of oral arguments about CNN's request for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction on Wednesday. Then he said court would reconvene Thursday at 3 p.m.But on Thursday afternoon, he rescheduled the next hearing for Friday at 10 a.m.If Kelly grants CNN's requests on Friday, CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta would get his press pass back for a short period of time. If it's denied, Acosta's pass will remain suspended.Either way, this is just round one. By filing for a temporary restraining order, CNN is seeking what's known as "emergency relief." CNN is arguing that Acosta's First Amendment rights are being violated every day he is banned from White House grounds.CNN is also asking for "permanent relief," meaning a declaration from the judge that Trump's revocation of Acosta's press pass was unconstitutional. This legal conclusion could protect other reporters from retaliation by the administration.But the judge will not be ruling on that yet.
