Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the U.S. is considering a ban on Chinese social media apps, including the wildly popular short video platform TikTok.In an interview Monday with Fox News' Laura Ingraham, Pompeo said people should only download the app if they want their private information in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.TikTok is owned by ByteDance, a company based in Beijing. (KGTV) — San Diego Sheriff's deputies say a father has been arrested months after the death of his infant child in Santee.Daniel Charles Marshall, 34, was arrested on Thursday by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force and booked into San Diego Central jail for murder and child abuse resulting in death, according to the Sheriff's Department (SDSO).On April 22, 2020, Santee Fire Department responded to a home in the 8600 block of Paseo Del Rey in Santee to a report of a seven-month-old infant in medical distress. (KGTV) -- A woman who escaped from the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee in early April pleaded not guilty Monday. 22-year-old Destiny Guns pleaded not guilty to six charges related to the escape. Guns was the first woman ever to escape from the Santee Jail, deputies say. Guns reportedly climbed over several fences and walls during the escape. Her clothes were found in an open field near the jail and police dogs traced her to the back of a shopping center before losing her trail. (KGTV) — Border officials seized more than million in unreported currency being smuggled into Mexico through San Ysidro.Officials stopped a vehicle on Dec. 9 in the southbound I-5 lane at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The vehicle was referred to inspection where canine officers alerted CBP officers to the driver's side quarter panel of the vehicle.Officers discovered numerous packages containing undeclared U.S. currency in the quarter panel, under the vehicle's third row of seats, and in the cargo area, CBP says."CBP officers and a canine team successfully stopped the smuggling of the currency during outbound inspections," said Anne Maricich, Acting Director of Field Operations for CBP in San Diego. "This is a demonstration of great police work and dedication to the CBP mission by our officers with the goal of stopping the illicit movement of currency through the border."The money was seized by the CBP. 995
