ANTANANARIVO, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- visiting Chinese top legislator Wu Bangguo met here Tuesday with Madagascan Prime Minister Charles Rabemananjara. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral trade ties and reached important consensuses.     Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), said China's top legislature has attached great importance to development of the political ties between the two countries, and that the substantial cooperation is of key concerns for both sides.     China will expand the cooperation with Madagascar in fields like energy, mining, hydropower, agriculture and human resource, and encourage the Chinese companies to establish projects with their Madagascar counterparts, Wu said. ATHENS, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao flew into Athens Monday for a state visit to Greece, which he said would be successful with the joint efforts by the Chinese side and the Greek side.     "In recent years, the China-Greece comprehensive strategic partnership has been consolidated continuously with increased exchanges and expanded cooperation in all sectors," said President Hu in a written speech issued upon his arrival at the airport.     He said that China attaches great importance to the development of its relations with Greece and will work together with the Greek side for the even better ties in the future. CHENGDU, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- President Hu Jintao visited quake-hit Sichuan Province over the weekend, showing concern for survivors and inspecting reconstruction work as winter set in.     It was Hu's second visit after the May 12 earthquake. Hu's last visit was on May 16, when quake relief work was in a critical phase.     The 8.0-magnitude quake, centered in Wenchuan County, left more than 69,000 people dead, 374,000 injured, 18,000 missing and millions homeless.
