Brian Kemp and called on him to declare a special session in the hopes of overturning election results in the state, Georgia's Elecoral College vote went off without a hitch on Monday and the state awarded all 16 of its votes to president-elect Joe Biden.In a tweet early Monday morning, Trump called Kemp both a "fool" and a "clown," Trump wrote that his supporters should demand the governor “call a Special Session and open up signature verification, NOW.”Without proof, Trump claimed that if the state legislator doesn’t call a special session in an attempt to appoint new Electoral College voters in his favor, it could negatively affect the GOP’s chances of holding on to their two U.S. Senate seats in Georgia’s runoff elections.“Otherwise, could be a bad day for two GREAT Senators on January 5th,” wrote Trump.Georgia’s two Senate seats will determine which party controls the chamber come next year. That vote was held without incident or interruption.However, while Georgia electors were casting their ballots, Republican electors held their own vote in a separate room of the Capitol, according to the Washington Post and WSB-TV, wrongly claiming that the election has yet to be decided. That vote is inconsequential and will have no legal bearing.The next big date in the 2020 election will be Jan. 6, when the House and Senate will hold a joint session to count the electoral votes. But just days after they settled into a new home, Tobin disappeared.“I was desperate to find him. I put flyers up,”Goldstein said.She searched for several days which then turned into weeks, still no sign of Tobin.“Honestly I thought I was never going to see him again. I kinda gave up,” she said.At that moment, a glimmer of hope.Ashley received a phone call with the news that she’d been desperately waiting for.“It’s this little boy telling me that he thinks he saw my cat,” she explained.It was Foster, the neighborhood pet detective, who promised to help.“I saw him in the backyard he ran over the fence,” Foster said.Aiden kept his word and went above and beyond, using a little creativity in the process.“So I tried to go after him and I just couldn’t so I just put my cat food that was there, I put a trail all the way down there left a whole big pile over there ,” Foster said.60 days after his disappearance, Ashley received her Christmas miracle. WASHINGTON, D.C. – NASA announced this week that astronaut Jeanette Epps has been assigned to its Boeing Starline-1 mission.The mission is the first operational crewed flight of Boeing’s CST-100 Starling spacecraft on a mission to the International Space Station.Epps will join astronauts Sunita Williams and Josh Cassada for a six-month expedition planned for a launch in 2021 to the orbiting space lab.This assignment will also make Epps the first Black woman to live and work in space for an extended period of time, CNBC and USA Today report.Epps reacted to the announcement in a video on Twitter, saying she’s looking forward to the mission. Trump killed the Obama-era program in September, but a court decision has essentially left it in place, for now. The White House had revived the idea in recent days — offering on Sunday a 30-month extension of DACA protections in exchange for billion for Trump's border wall — but Democrats demanded protections for a broader pool of immigrants than had signed up for DACA, a request denied by GOP negotiators.There's also a continuing battle over Trump's long-promised U.S.-Mexico border wall.
