A Wisconsin judge has ruled against a Trump campaign lawsuit that sought to overturn the results of the presidential election in the state.“Because the court is satisfied the rules and guidelines applied in each of the disputed areas are reasonable, and a correct interpretation of the underlying early absentee voting laws, the certification of the results of the 2020 Wisconsin presidential election, after the Dane County and Milwaukee County recounts, is affirmed," Judge Stephen Simane said in a ruling released Friday.Hearings were scheduled Thursday for the campaign's federal and state lawsuits that were an effort to invalidate thousands of ballots in both Dane County and Milwaukee County.The attempt to overturn ballots in Milwaukee County was dismissed Thursday afternoon.Prior to the decision, attorneys for Wisconsin Gov. A wide array of House and Senate Republicans are not yet ready to endorse President Donald Trump's bid for a second term, a reflection of the deep uncertainty on Capitol Hill over his political standing amid growing problems at home and abroad.In interviews with a cross-section of more than two dozen GOP lawmakers, ranging from rank-and-file members, conservatives and party leaders, many refused to say they'd back Trump's re-election bid -- a surprise declaration given that members of Congress are typically quick to endorse sitting presidents of their own party without hesitation. Hardly any would offer a categorical endorsement of the President."I don't know what the world is going to look like," said Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, when asked if he'd endorse Trump for re-election. "But let's say it's not something I've given any thought to."Asked several days later if he had given thought to it, Cornyn demurred."I haven't even thought about that election," said Cornyn, No. 2 in the Senate GOP conference. "I'm worried about the midterm election."He's not alone. Many lawmakers sought to avoid the topic altogether."Look, I'm focused on opioids," said Sen. Lamar Alexander, the veteran Republican from Tennessee, referring to efforts in Congress to deal with the drug epidemic. "And I was just reelected myself three years ago. And they also contradict Trump's oft-stated contention that the party has "never" been more united.White House officials did not provide a comment for this story. After dozens of puppies were found in rural Pottawattamie County, Iowa with no food and water before being rescued Sunday, authorities ramped up their investigation into Young Gunz Kennel.They obtained a search warrant and confiscated items for several hours Tuesday.Sheriff deputies and animal control personnel hauled away a large number of kennels that were at the unlicensed facility, which was used for obedience and hunting training, as well as dog breeding. Investigators could also be seen snapping photos and collecting additional evidence that they could find at the site, which housed as many as 50 dogs before many of them were found inside their kennels severely malnourished. A total of four dogs have now been found dead, and 10 are missing.Copper was one of the dogs that was rescued on Sunday. When his owner Wil Beach picked him up, Copper had lost 20 pounds and was covered in feces. "He was very scared but still in high spirits, he was the same dog emotionally when I got him (back) than when I dropped him off,” says Beach.Beach says he took Copper and a 0 check to owner Dustin Young in January after high praises from friends. He says he did not suspect anything amiss when he made the drop-off. "When I was there it was neat and clean and organized and he was very talkative and he just seemed like he had a passion for dogs," says Beach.Beach is thankful that his two-year old pup is okay, with no major issues from the abandonment.  1500

A wave of construction will bring thousands of new apartments to downtown in the next few years. As those complexes start to open, they could bring relief to San Diego's housing crisis.This July, Park 12 will be the biggest to open, adding 718 units to the downtown area. The complex features three buildings, including a 37 story tower. Jerry Brand, with developer Greystar, says they wanted to go big in downtown because they see the area going through tremendous growth."Last year, San Diego had the largest employment growth in CA as a city. It was about 30,000 jobs, and that doesn't include the military," Brand says. "That creates housing demand, so we're seeing continued demand in the future."Other developers agree. According to Civic San Diego's 2017 Downtown Development Report, there were 1,014 new apartments completed in downtown in 2017. That's the third most since 2001. The report shows another 10,561 apartments either under construction, waiting to be built, or waiting for approval.Little Italy is one of the fastest growing areas. Projects like Luma, AV 8, Amo and Vici will add nearly 600 apartments to the area by the start of 2019."This is the most dynamic neighborhood in San Diego," says Rich Gustafson, the President of CityMark Development. They're putting the finishing touches on AV8, which will have 133 units."The demand is there," he says. "San Diego, in general, is slow in providing the housing supply, but we're doing the best that we can in Little Italy."It's not just apartments. Across Downtown, Civic San Diego says there are 1,213 condominiums either under construction or in the planning stages. ALABASTER, Ala. — A photographer in Alabama was able to capture the beauty of a rare yellow cardinal that is taking the internet by storm. Jeremy Black took the photograph of the rare yellow bird in Alabaster, Alabama.According to Geoffrey Hill, a bird curator at Auburn University in Alabama, the bird is a rare male northern cardinal that has a "one in a million" genetic mutation that makes its red feathers turn yellow. Additionally, the mutation is so rare, that only one is seen each year in the United States."This yellow cardinal displays a rare mutation causes the metabolic process to produce a different type of pigment than the typical red coloration," Black wrote on his Facebook page.Black says that he was able to photograph the yellow cardinal after his friend, Charlie Stephenson, noticed the bird at her feeder in January. According to National Geographic, on February 17, Black spent five hours in Stephenson's backyard with a camera in hand, hoping the beautiful bird would make a second appearance. "As soon as it landed, I was starstruck," Black told National Geographic.
