A day after President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden squared off in what proved to be a more civilized and substantive debate, both candidates will return to the campaign trail to deliver their final pitches to the American people.Biden will deliver remarks from his home state of Delaware on Friday afternoon — his first public appearance this week outside of Thursday's debate. Since last week, Biden has laid low, allowing surrogates like his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, and former President Barack Obama campaign for him as he focused on debate prep.Biden's remarks are currently scheduled to take place at 2:30 p.m. ET.Later Friday, Trump will continue his busy tour of swing states, as he makes multiple appearances in the key battleground state of Florida.Trump will first hold an afternoon rally at The Villages — one of the country's largest retirement communities. Retirees are a key demographic that Trump carried in 2016, but new polling from the AARP shows older Americans favor Biden by a slight margin.Later in the evening, Trump will hold a second rally in Pensacola, Florida.While Biden chose to eschew travel for debate prep this week, Trump made visits to several key battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Arizona and Georgia.Recent polls show that Biden leads Trump anywhere from 3 points to 10 points in the general election vote share. A Florida mother says her daughter was denied lunch on the first day of school because she didn't have money to pay a 15 cent debt.Kimberly Aiken told WKMG-TV in Orlando that her daughter, a sophomore at University High School in Orange City, Florida, was told that she owed 15 cents when she went through the lunch line on the first day of school this week. When she told the cashier that she didn't have any money on her, the cashier allegedly threw the food away.Aiken's daughter did not eat anything for the rest of the school day.According to CBS News, Aiken signed her daughter up for a free and reduced-cost lunch program at University High School. However, the program hadn't taken effect yet. Aiken suspects that the 15 cent deficit was carried over from last year.A spokesperson for the Volusia County Public Schools said the district has contacted the family directly about the issue.Aiken's daughter reportedly brought a quarter to school the next day to cover the deficit and was told the shortage had been taken care of.Alex Hider is a writer for the E.W. A Fort Myers, Florida woman was maced in her face while working at the McDonald's on Cleveland Avenue.This happened Saturday evening. Alisha Irons, 24, was arrested and charged with battery."My eyes were swollen, and I couldn't even open them for two days," Tatiana Green, 24, said.The the victim said Irons, the girl who maced her, used to be her best friend. "She sprayed it in my eyes. It burnt so bad, I couldn't see," Green said.Green told Scripps station WFTX in Fort Myers it started Thursday when Iron's cousin took her bank card. Green said she reported it to Fort Myers Police. On Saturday, she said Irons showed up during her shift at McDonald's and used bear mace."Anything could have happened to me. I could have went blind. And it was so humiliating because I had to come out of my clothes, and I'm in my bra and panties, and I'm running around on fire," Green said."To be helpless, I started pouring water and soap on her to cool off and that's something no mother should have to go through," Green's mom, Crystal Hayes, said.When initially asked for a comment, Irons referred WFTX to a rap video of herself she posted on Facebook.She also posted a message saying "I don't regret anything ... The only thing I'll do different is mace the (expletive) when she clocked out, simple."Irons has since bonded out of jail and lives next door to Green."I could hear her door shutting and it's terrifying, because I don't know what else she's going to do to me," Green said.Fort Myers Police said a girl claiming to be related to Green was arrested after showing up to Irons' apartment and firing a gunshot in the air. When WFTX asked Green about this, she said she was in the hospital at the time.Irons also said she knows it was wrong of her to show up to Green's place of employment, but there's more to the story.Green is filing a restraining order against Irons. 1906

A fourth-grade teacher in Florida was arrested on Saturday after deputies found a 4-year-old in the woman's custody wandering alone outside, the Orlando Sentinel reported. The Polk County, Florida Sheriff's Office said that the boy was discovered at 7:30 a.m. Saturday crying and asking for help. The boy was only wearing a t-shirt and underwear. The teacher, 26-year-old Marsha Dolce, claimed she was helping a friend with a broken down car when she left the child at home. But deputies found marijuana and a grinder on the kitchen counter, the Sentinel reported. When deputies pressed Dolce, she admitted that she had lied, and visited someone she knew had marijuana while the boy was sleeping. Dolce was charged with negligent child abuse, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia."This is not what we expect from a person in a position of public trust,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a statement to the Sentinel. “To think about this poor scared child crying in the street, not knowing where mom was — it is just a shame and should not have happened."Dolce was reportedly only a teacher for three months before her arrest.  1209
