Ohio State's board of trustees is debating the fate of football coach Urban Meyer, who could face disciplinary action over his handling of domestic violence allegations against one of his former assistants.The board of trustees held a meeting private Wednesday to discuss a possible punishment against Meyer.Meyer has been accused of turning a blind eye to alleged domestic violence committed by Zach Smith, his wide receivers coach at both Ohio State and Florida. Smith was fired by Ohio State in late July when his ex-wife filed a domestic violence civil protection order.A day after Smith's firing, Meyer told reporters at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago that he was not aware of any allegations against Smith. Omarosa Manigault Newman, a former White House aide and reality TV star, claims in her forthcoming book that President Donald Trump's re-election campaign offered her a lucrative contract in exchange for her signature on a strict non-disclosure agreement after her ouster from the administration last year, according to an excerpt quoted in The Washington Post.Manigault Newman writes in "Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House" that she turned down the proposal, which would have barred her from the public criticism she has leveled at Trump since her departure. Lara Trump, a campaign adviser and the President's daughter-in-law, extended the offer to Manigault Newman shortly after White House chief of staff John Kelly fired her for "serious integrity issues," according to The Post's excerpts.The Trump campaign declined to comment on Manigault Newman's description of the deal Lara Trump supposedly offered her.White House press secretary Sarah Sanders on Friday dismissed the sensational claims in Manigault Newman's book, which hits shelves on August 14."Instead of telling the truth about all the good President Trump and his administration are doing to make America safe and prosperous, this book is riddled with lies and false accusations," Sanders said in a statement. OCEANSIDE (KGTV) -- It's a 3,100-mile bike ride that starts from the Oceanside Pier Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. Buzz Ponce, 69, will be riding his bike coast to coast from Oceanside to St. Augustine, Florida.  He is doing it to raise money for the Warrior's Heart Foundation. The foundation helps active military members, veterans and first responders dealing PTSD, alcohol abuse and drug addiction. Buzz says he started planning the bike ride two years ago. At first, he says it was all about seeing if he could do it, but then realized it would be better if he could use it to help others. "It really flashed on me that I should do something other than just about me. And that’s when I came across the idea of trying to raise money for a cause," Ponce said. The organization has a treatment center in San Antonio.  Ponce says his goal is to raise ,000 to hopefully start a scholarship for people that need to travel to the center.People can donate Buzz's cause here. If all goes as scheduled, Buzz will be in St. Augustine on July 1.  1091
