All of them were healthcare workers who had tested positive for COVID-19. They found that a majority of people who had the most severe cases started out with the most antibodies. But the study also found after 60 days, almost everyone who had coronavirus lost all antibodies.That could be bad news when it comes to our bodies' ability to fight off the virus a second time.“The antibodies are one piece of the immune system. It’s possible they’ll ramp up again quickly and prevent reinfection,” Dr. Self added.All of this also means researchers now need to get blood samples from people fairly quickly after they're infected before antibodies disappear.“We need to be thoughtful about vaccines and treatments that are specific for this virus,” he said. 1662

The police chief in Columbia, S.C. announced on Thursday that Master Police Officer David Hurt has been suspended for five days without pay and removed from the K-9 unit after the dog he was handling, Turbo, died after Hurt left Turbo in a police car for eight hours, The State newspaper reported. Hurt was participating in all-day training and left the air conditioning running and the windows down in his police car. He also reportedly had deactivated a heat sensor in the vehicle, which could have warned him to the car's rising temperatures. Hurt reportedly had an officer check on Turbo at 11:30 a.m. on July 26, which was four hours into the training. When Hurt returned to the vehicle at 3:30 p.m., he found Turbo was panting heavily, foaming at the mouth and unsteady on his feet, The State reported. Hurt then took Turbo to a veterinarian, where the 2-year-old dog was euthanized. Turbo's official cause of death was organ failure from prolonged heat exposure. In addition to his unpaid suspension and removal from the K-9 unit, Hurt will also be removed from the Columbia Police's bomb squad for six months. Last month's incident has also prompted the Columbia Police to make institutional changes to how it cares for K-9s. The Hubbard Avenue Diner just outside Madison, Wisconsin announced on their Facebook page that they will soon be serving 'Pie Tacos.'The restaurant, which was been working on the tacos for a while, will start selling them April 12th and will feature four flavors: Apple, Cherry, French Silk and Key Lime.All four versions of the taco will be baked in a pie crust shell and will be served in a traditional taco rack like you'd see at Bel Air Cantina in Milwaukee.Along with the fillings, the Apple Pie will be covered with a streusel topping, the Cherry will have a sugared "lattice" crust on top, the French Silk is topped with whipped cream and chocolate flakes, and the Key Lime is topped with whipped cream and lime zest.Fans of the restaurant certainly seem excited about the idea."Get one?
