France is bracing for yet another weekend of protests that could rock Paris and other parts of the country.Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said the government was deploying 89,000 security force members across France -- including 8,000 in the capital -- in case the demonstrations turn violent again.Many of the capital's famed sites -- including the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Musée Delacroix and the Paris Opera -- will close over the weekend in advance of the protests, organized by the "gilets jaunes," or "yellow vest" movement. Their name comes from the high-visibility yellow vests that drivers are required to keep in their vehicles for safety reasons.Interior Minister Christophe Castaner vowed Friday to deploy all the means available to ensure the latest "yellow vest" protests are not hijacked by what he said were "10,000" people, "a small minority" of the movement who have been "radicalized and fallen into violence and hate.""We have to guarantee the safety of protesters and the right of citizens to move around freely," Castaner told a news conference.Nationwide, some 630 people were arrested and more than 260 were injured, including 81 police officers, during last weekend's protests, the third consecutive week of such demonstrations.There have also been four accidental deaths, according to officials. But the movement now appears to be about more than just taxes; it's exposed the growing divide between Paris' metropolitan elite and the country's rural poor.Maxime Nicolle, a member of the gilets jaunes from rural Brittany, told CNN: "I'm definitely not backing down now. The moratorium is useless. The people want a referendum, a referendum on Macron, the senate and the national assembly."Street furniture, such as railings around trees and benches, will be removed from parts of Paris ahead of the expected protests.Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said municipal services were "mobilized and determined to ensure everyone's protection." In particular, she said, about 2,000 items of street furniture, including 58 public bike stations, are being removed so "troublemakers" cannot use the objects as weapons. John Kasich won't be there.That is due in large part to the fact that the guest of honor will be the man who has emerged as Kasich's main political rival, President Donald Trump.Kasich was one of the few Republicans not to endorse Trump in 2016 general election and has remained one of his staunchest policy critics since Trump took office. Florida Republican Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a pair of letters Sunday taking issue with the lack of criminal investigations tied to the state's elections after the Florida Department of State said it found no allegations of criminal activity.The letters -- one issued to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the other to the Department of State -- came two days after the state law enforcement agency announced it had no active investigations related to the election and had been informed by the Department of State there were no allegations of criminal activity.Despite the lack of any criminal allegations referred by the Department of State, Bondi said law enforcement should look into election activities in two key counties and directed Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Rick Swearingen "to take the necessary steps to promote public safety and to ensure that our state will guarantee integrity in our elections process." 968

Flywheel has filed for bankruptcy.The fitness company was in business for 10 years and once had 40 studios across the United States.Earlier this year, Flywheel lost a major legal battle to its competitor.Peloton sued Flywheel alleging the company copied its technology used to create the in-home bikes.The patent infringement case initially caused Flywheel to close only a dozen of its studios along with all virtual classes.The pandemic later forced the company to layoff nearly all staff and close all studios.Flywheel hasn't commented on the bankruptcy filing. 571

Four 15-year-olds were arrested after leading Metro Nashville Police officers on a chase that ended on Briley Parkway.The teens in the chase involving a stolen car are also under investigation in relation to other recent crimes involving juveniles.On Thursday, officers were on the lookout for the stolen Prius after receiving a tip that wanted 14-year-old Rico Ransom was suspected of being in the vehicle.Ransom has been a fugitive since he allegedly shot and critically wounded a 17-year-old across from Pearl Cohn High School nearly two weeks ago.Officers pursued the teens for 15 minutes after spotting the car at 20th Avenue North & Herman Street. They then deployed spike strips into the path of the Prius finally, which finally caused the vehicle to slow and stop on Briley Parkway. The teens bailed out and ran. Three were quickly arrested and the fourth was arrested while hiding in a neighborhood on W. Vailview Court.The Prius was stolen on the morning of February 20 on Neal Terrace.Officers continue in their efforts to locate Rico Ransom.
