Atlanta 1979 was the start of a series of murders that terrorized the city for two years. Nearly 30 African Americans, mostly children and some as young as 9, were found murdered around the city. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau revealed on a Winnipeg radio station that the Canada-U.S. border would remain closed to non-essential travel until the United States lowers its COVID-19 infections. The longstanding 'Tribute in Light' tradition is back on with a new partner, according to that group's CEO.Frank Siller, CEO of Tunnel to Towers, told PIX11 News Friday that his group will put on the annual towers of light on Sept. 11, 2020. It had been previously canceled earlier in the week due to COVID-19 concerns for crews that put on the tribute.No other details were available, other than that the tribute is a "done deal," a foundation spokesperson said.
