An Ohio woman is filing a lawsuit against the Montgomery County Jail claiming excessive force was used against her.Marsha Pate-Strickland is suing the Montgomery county jail for this video-tapped incident.It happened back in 2015.Pate-Strickland says it all began when she asked a corrections officer at the jail if she could exchange her juice for milk.In the video, you can see the officer grab her and slam her to the floor.Pate-Strickland said she complained that her arm and shoulder were injured. But she refused medical attention.Now she claims she has permanent and debilitating injuries.Officials with the Montgomery County jail have not commented on the lawsuit. 710

An Alabama state official is citing the Bible to defend GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore against sexual assault allegations on a 14-year-old girl decades ago.Alabama State Auditor Jim Zeigler, a Republican, dismissed the charges brought forth in a Washington Post article about Moore Thursday, telling The Washington Examiner that the relationship would be akin to that of Joseph and Mary."Take the Bible: Zachariah and Elizabeth for instance," Zeigler said. She had won her last two starts and finished in the money in all of her six races this year. ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Life was beginning to return to normal Monday in Alaska following the powerful earthquake near Anchorage, but people nervous about aftershocks were still grappling with damage that closed public buildings and schools, clogged roads and knocked homes off foundations.Some residents went back to work. But state transportation officials again urged people who live north and south of Anchorage to take the day off or work from home to reduce traffic.Rockfalls were still occurring along cliff-lined Seward Highway, while major repairs were underway on hard-hit Glenn Highway, the main road leading north of the city, Department of Transportation spokeswoman Meadow Bailey said."We don't want the commute to be frustrating because people will experience delays," she said.Residents still jittery from the 7.0 quake on Friday have been rattled even further by more than 1,700 aftershocks.
