One of the officers responded to Scott, “I don’t care.”The video shows officers struggling to place Scott in handcuffs.Unlike in the Floyd incident, the only video available from last May’s incident was from body camera footage.The May 2019 incident began on a call of a black man carrying a gun. After police arrived, officers talked to Scott. The body cam footage then showed officers chasing a fleeing Scott.Officers caught up to him and tackled Scott. Two officers straddled Scott until a third officer arrived and told Scott to stop resisting.It took all three officers to bring Scott into custody. An officer continued to hold a knee against Scott’s leg.Scott then didn’t say anything for four minutes, which prompted officers to call for EMTs. Scott died an hour later. An official autopsy stated that Scott had a collapsed lung at the time of his death, but did not give the manner for his death.The officers were cleared of wrongdoing. 1380

Hurricane Willa has made landfall near Isla Del Bosque, Sinaloa, on the western coast of Mexico, approximately 50 miles south of Mazatlán.The storm will quickly weaken over the next 24 hours as it makes its way across the Sierra Madre range and becomes a rainmaker for northern Mexico and Texas on Wednesday.When Willa made landfall Tuesday evening, it had top winds of 120 MPH. The Category 3 storm, while still a major hurricane, has weakened since peaking as a Category 5 hurricane on Monday. Willa has been a danger for forecasters as well. An aircraft with the Air Force Reserve's Hurricane Hunters was forced to turn around Monday over concerns for its onboard equipment after a lightning bolt from one of Willa's outer rain bands blasted it, according to the National Hurricane Center.In a tweet Monday, Mexican President Enrique Pe?a Nieto said he has asked the National System of Civil Protection to take all steps necessary to protect those in the hurricane's path as well as those affected by Tropical Storm Vicente, a weaker system tracking south of Willa that's also primed to make landfall Tuesday. Vicente likely will be a tropical depression by the time it comes ashore, the hurricane center said.Airlines have started moving out of Willa's path. Southwest Airlines has canceled all flights at the international airport in Puerto Vallarta, a resort city in Jalisco state. Darell Salondaguit has twelve surveillance cameras posted around his home at the corner of 15th Street and Imperial Beach Boulevard. He was taking a shower around eleven p.m. Monday when he heard a noise. "We heard a really big thud and thought it was cats in the backyard," said Salondaguit.When he woke up Tuesday morning, he discovered his wooden fence, potted plants, and palm tree were severely damaged. When he played back his cameras, he was shocked at what he saw. "Just a tire flying across from over there, crashing through here," described Salondaguit.The tire flew off of a car on Imperial Beach Boulevard, rolled across 15th Street and crashed through his fence. The cameras also show a man and a woman, casually step over the damaged fence, pick up the tire and leave."They had to come through the yard and get their tire, they didn't bother knocking or anything," said Salondaguit.He filed a report with the Sheriff's Department and hopes the people responsible will come forward."It was like really scary, cause I tend to check the plants at nighttime to see if they're properly watered because we have an automatic watering system.
