As reports circulated Wednesday about the alleged "Momo Challenge" that encourages children to harm themselves, YouTube issued a response saying no videos of the sort had been published recently on its platform."We want to clear something up regarding the Momo Challenge: We’ve seen no recent evidence of videos promoting the Momo Challenge on YouTube. Videos encouraging harmful and dangerous challenges are against our policies," YouTube said in a tweet. "If you see videos including harmful or dangerous challenges on YouTube, we encourage you to flag them to us immediately. These challenges are clearly against our Community Guidelines."Facebook, which owns WhatsApp — a platform reportedly targeted by the challenge — also issued a response."We care about the safety of our community and want to provide assistance for people in distress. As outlined in our Community Standards, we don't allow the promotion of self-injury or suicide and will remove it when reported to us," the statement read. "We also provide people who have expressed suicidal thoughts, and people who want to reach out to a friend who may be struggling, with a number of support options and resources. These global tools and resources were developed with the help of over 70 mental health partners around the world and we’re continuously improving them to build a safer and more supportive community on Facebook." 1402
BEIJING — Chinese authorities are lifting a two-month lockdown of most of coronavirus-hit Hubei province, as domestic cases of the virus continue to subside. People who are cleared will be able to leave the province after midnight Tuesday. China has been using a color-coded system to indicate the health of each citizen: "Red" indicates that a person has been confirmed to have contracted the virus or had a fever at the time they were tested, anyone with close contact with one of those people is considered "yellow." All other citizens are "green."The city of Wuhan, where the outbreak started, will remain locked down until April 8. At that point, any "green" citizens can leave the country.China barred people from leaving or entering Wuhan starting Jan. 23 and expanded it to most of the province in succeeding days. The drastic steps came as a new coronavirus began spreading to the rest of China and overseas during the Lunar New Year when many Chinese people travel. Hubei has seen almost no new infections for more than a week.COVID-19 has killed more than 3,000 people in Hubei province, and more than 67,000 people have contracted the virus. 1165

The report says streptococcus bacteria was found in the girl's lungs, adrenal gland, liver and spleen. It goes on to say the infection was "rapidly progressive," which led to "multiple organ dysfunction and death."Jakelin died in December, two days after she and her father, Nery Gilberto Caal, 29, were detained by US Customs and Border Protection. The law offices of Lynn Coyle, who represents Jakelin's family, released a statement saying it will continue to ask for an independent investigation of her death."While the report sheds light on Jakelin's cause of death, it still leaves many questions that require further review," the statement said. "The report's findings suggest that Jakelin's chances of surviving would have been improved with earlier medical intervention. As we requested back in December of last year, the family seeks a thorough independent investigation of this matter to learn why medical intervention was delayed."The autopsy does not indicate how or when Jakelin caught the infection.CNN reached out to the CBP for comment, and was 1436
