A 3-month-old child was found alive this week in a Painesville, Ohio apartment with her parents who had died from an apparent drug overdose.Police performed a welfare check at the apartment on the 1280 block of West Jackson Street Sunday afternoon where they found 29-year-old Matthew J. Jacquemain and his girlfriend 25-year-old Sarah K. Poorman dead in the home from apparent drug overdoses.Police said they found the couple's infant daughter in the apartment. (KGTV) - The nephew of baseball star Alex Rodriguez was kidnapped and held for ransom in New York Thursday after a deal involving a Lamborghini, various media outlets reported.Rodriguez’ nephew, 29-year-old Norberto Susini, met two men at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square to sell them the vehicle, WABC reported. The men then demanded Susini return a ,000 deposit but he refused.WABC reported the men then held Susini against his will in a hotel room. They demanded ransom from Susini’s business partners, who called police.The men turned themselves in at 4 a.m, according to WABC.Susini is a player in independent baseball leagues. His uncle has not publicly commented on the kidnapping. 708

A 26-year-old playing in the final game of the regular season for the Grand Rapids Drive, the Detroit Pistons' G League affiliate, collapsed on Saturday in the closing minute of the game. After two nights in the hospital, Zeke Upshaw died on Monday following the on-court incident. A cause of death was not announced. Upshaw had scored 11 points in Saturday's game, and helped his team qualify for the the league's playoff. A broadcast of the incident shows Upshaw collapsing on the defensive end of the court as his team took possession of the basketball. Immediately, referees stopped play as trainers ran to Upshaw's side. It only took several minutes for Upshaw to be placed on a stretcher.The G League has postponed the start of its playoff from Tuesday to Friday."Zeke was an outstanding young man whose powerful belief in himself and uncommon perseverance led to a successful professional basketball career," G League president Malcolm Turner said in a statement. "A beloved member of the Grand Rapids Drive, Zeke's continuous improvement and tireless work ethic were hallmarks of his career. (KGTV) - The man accused of carrying out dozens of rapes and at least 12 murders across California in the 1970s and '80s did not enter a plea at his arraignment Friday.Joseph James DeAngelo, 72, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer cases.He was handcuffed in a wheelchair during his court appearance, and listened to the judge with his eyes barely open.In a frail voice, DeAngelo responded, "I have a lawyer." An attorney from the public defender's office was with him in court.He was denied bail.DeAngelo, a former California police officer, is charged in Sacramento County with two counts of murder in the 1978 killings of Brian Maggiore and his wife, Katie, and with additional murder charges in Ventura County.
