(KGTV) - A threat circulating among Valhalla High School students about a bomb threat against the El Cajon school is unsubstantiated, a Grossmont Union High School spokesperson tweeted Thursday night.Students received a text that appeared to be from CNN and claimed that Grossmont Union High School District schools would be closed Friday, according to the district’s public information officer Catherine Martin. EL CAJON (CNS) - A man suspected of killing his husband at their Mount Helix home pleaded not guilty Friday to a murder charge.Daniel Scott Jordan, 45, is accused in the slaying of 38-year-old Kevin Powell, a Chula Vista city employee whose body was found in the couple's Carmen Drive residence on Aug. 11.Chula Vista police found Powell's body while conducting a welfare check, sheriff's Lt. Thomas Seiver said. Then, they’ll swipe your credit card right there, before handing you the receipt.The process eliminates having to wait in line for a cashier. He says two companies in constant competition are Walmart and Amazon.Amazon recently announced their plans to open 3,000 brick and mortar stores-- that will be cashierless—by 2021.As for Walmart’s new checkout program, the company plans to position workers in the busiest sections of the store.
