And they're trying a new tactic to bring people into the store: selling CBD products. “It’s been crazy,” said Erin Gardner, the store manager of the Family Video in Waterford Township, Michigan.Gardner says the owner of Family Video, Keith Hoogland, tried CBD balm to help with his tennis elbow. It worked so well for him, he wanted to share the benefits of CBD products with Family Video customers. Right now, there are around 76 stores in Michigan selling CBD products, and it’s expected to launch at all 100 stores in Michigan by the end of this week.CBD, or cannabidiol, is the non-psychoactive ingredient of cannabis plants and can be extracted from the two strains of cannabis, both hemp and marijuana. CBD oil has been found in lotions, creams and food. And although the only CBD products officially approved by the US Food and Drug Administration is a prescription oil called Epidiolex, proponents say it can have many health benefits for humans and pets.Family Video’s products are THC-free.“Some other CBD products have traces of THC in it, and then you’ll fail drug tests. So, taking ours, it’s just 100 percent THC-free,” Gardner said.He says people are coming in not only for the CBD, but to pick up a movie, giving people a sense of nostalgia. “People kind of forget that we are even here sometimes I think or even a young generation doesn’t come in here sometimes. Donald Trump's lawyers want the Washington court fight over Trump's accounting records to slow down.A recent congressional subpoena for the records could reveal financial information about Trump to Democrats in Congress, but the President says a federal judge is moving too quickly.On Monday, private attorneys representing Trump and his companies disagreed with a federal judge's decision to hold a comprehensive court hearing about the subpoena on Tuesday in Washington, according to court filings.The President's attorneys say they are not being given a fair shot in court, and have asked the judge to either narrow the topics covered in the hearing Tuesday or cancel the hearing outright."Because the hearing is tomorrow, the court's consolidation will force plaintiffs to try their case on only four days' notice, with no discovery, with little opportunity to assemble evidence, before Defendants have filed a single pleading, with no idea which facts are actually in dispute, and without a round of briefing focused on the merits," the President's legal team wrote.Congress' attorneys, however, said they are ready for the case to proceed as scheduled on Tuesday and do not want Tuesday's hearing to be canceled. The scheduled court hearing would be the first in a growing set of legal disputes between the Democratic-led House of Representatives and those it has subpoena for Trump's financial records.So far, Trump has sued the accounting firm Mazars USA as well as two banks, Deutsche Bank and Capitol One, to stop them from fulfilling House subpoenas. DETROIT — General Motors quietly removed a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer SUV from a display at the Detroit Tigers' stadium on Saturday after the company was criticized for including a vehicle built in Mexico as part of the advertisement. The criticism comes as GM plans to close four production plants in the United States in the coming months. Two of those plants — located in Hamtramck and Warren, Michigan — are both located within 20 miles of Comerica Park, home of the Tigers.
