Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor broke her shoulder in a fall, court spokesperson Kathleen Arberg said Tuesday.The injury occurred Monday morning, Arberg said, citing Sotomayor's doctor. She will wear a sling for several weeks and will undergo physical therapy as part of her recovery.Sotomayor, who joined the Supreme Court in 2009, plans to continue with her schedule as usual. TAMPA, Fla. ¡ª Several areas of Tampa Bay are assessing the damage left behind from a squall of storms that produced tornadoes on both sides of Tampa Bay.At least three tornado warnings were issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Polk Counties.The NWS believes there were tornadoes in Pinellas Park, along the Howard Frankland Bridge and near Kathleen.The National Weather Service said at 4:08 p.m., a ¡°confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado¡± was located over the Howard Frankland Bridge, southwest of Tampa. It was moving northeast at 35 mph.Pinellas Park Police say at least 25 structures were damaged by the storm. TAMPA, Fla. ¡ª A volunteer at Carole Baskin's Big Cat Rescue in Tampa was bitten by a tiger Thursday morning and sustained "an extreme injury to her arm."According to the organization, Candy Couser ¡ª who has volunteered with the animal sanctuary for five years ¡ª was injured while feeding a 3-year-old Tiger named Kimba on Thursday.According to a press release, Baskin said that Kimba nearly tore Couser's arm "off her shoulder" as she tried to feed him. The volunteers, according to the release, helped Couser stem the bleeding until an ambulance arrived and took her to St. Joseph's Hospital.Couser is expected to survive the attack.In the release, Baskin said that Couser had reached into a cage to open a door that had been clipped shut and that she should have contacted a supervisor when she realized the door was clipped. She also said Couser had violated protocols by putting her arm inside a cage with a tiger."Candy was still conscious and insisted that she did not want Kimba Tiger to come to any harm for this mistake," Baskin said in her press release. "(Kimba) is being placed in quarantine for the next 30 days as a precaution, but was just acting normal due to the presence of food and the opportunity."Baskin and Big Cat Rescue were featured prominently in the massively popular Netflix docuseries "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness.""Tiger King" spent much of its time focusing on the feud between Baskin and fellow big cat park owner Joe Exotic, which included accusations by him that Baskin was behind the disappearance of her ex-husband, Don Lewis. Baskin has denied those allegations and has not been charged with a crime in connection with Lewis' death.In January 2019, Joe Exotic was sentenced to 22 years in prison in connection with a murder-for-hire plot in an attempt to have Baskin killed. The banana phone is back.A startup that licenses the Nokia phone brand has unveiled a new version of the 8110, a curved mobile phone that was first released in 1996 and featured in "The Matrix."The phone, which is offered in banana yellow and black, will sell for €79 (). It comes loaded with a new version of the game Snake, Finnish startup HMD said in a statement."This is a return to the glory years of Nokia," said Ian Fogg, senior analyst at IHS Markit. "But it also includes all the new technology."The 8110 comes with 4G, and a handful of apps including Google Maps, Facebook and Twitter. But it doesn't have a flashy operating system and users won't be able to download other popular apps.Fogg said that basic -- or "feature" -- phones are appealing because they are reliable, and can run for a long time on a single charge. The 8110 goes 25 days in standby mode, for example.Nokia used to be the world's largest maker of mobile phones, but it struggled to adapt to the era of smartphones and compete with the likes of Apple and Samsung.Microsoft purchased the company's handset business in 2013, but later unwound the deal. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg fell in her office Wednesday evening, according to a statement Thursday morning from court Public Information Officer Kathy Arberg.Ginsburg, 85, went home afterward, but she experienced "discomfort overnight" and went to George Washington University Hospital early Thursday, Arberg noted: "Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side and she was admitted for observation and treatment."Falls are "incredibly dangerous," said Dr. Adam Shiroff, director of the Penn Center for Chest Trauma and an associate professor of trauma surgery at Penn Medicine.
