EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV)- A man in an El Cajon neighborhood is frustrated after weeks of watching an Amazon delivery driver speed through his neighborhood. The resident, who didn't want to release his name, said, “I mean, there’s been times I've seen them go 10 to15 miles per hour, then I’ve seen them go 20 plus.”The signs in the neighborhood list the speed limit at 5 miles per hour. With the holiday season among us, the delivery traffic is up. "With Amazon, they pull down our street maybe 3 to 4 times a week and I’d say more than half the time they’re speeding," he said.He was able to identify the company affiliation because of the Amazon packages in the car and on the dashboard. The neighbor tried reaching out to Amazon but didn’t like the response he got."The very first thing the lady said to me was, 'do you have proof'.” 10News reached out to Amazon and talked with a representative on the phone. They say they’re trying to track down the driver using the time and date in this surveillance video so they can address the issue with them directly. 1070

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. -- You can't even step foot inside Paul and Jenny Fisch's home without wearing a breathing mask. Their dream home was destroyed after they thought the house was sold."I mean, there was just no words... the feces and the urine spread all over our white cabinets, all over our hardwood floor, it was even on the ceiling - 10-foot ceilings," said Jenny Fisch, the homeowner. The Fischs put their home on the market for 0,000 and the first offer they received was for full asking price. They were elated but there was a catch, the buyers wanted to rent the home with the promise they would close in three months."We were told these people were 100 percent qualified, there was no question about it," said Jenny Fisch.Everything seemed to be fine and they had no reason to doubt the offer. The realtor drafted up a contract with information about the loan and a closing date of January 31, 2018. The deadline came and went without the buyers closing on their home even though they were already living in it."What do we do? The only thing we have left to do is start an eviction," said Paul Fisch. The couple even attempted to work out a new deal with the would-be buyers so they could continue renting and eventually purchase the home. The buyers stopped paying rent and they had no choice but to evict them. It wasn't a quick process. Paul and Jenny Fisch weren't prepared for what they were about to find when they showed up to their home with a sheriff's deputy to finally kick the people out."When she walked out her face was like, 'it's bad," said Paul Fisch.Floors were covered in urine, there was feces everywhere and the smell was overwhelming. The house was absolutely filthy and completely trashed."And I lost it, I just lost it. I was like, 'I don't understand why we have to go through this.' I mean we hired people and now my beautiful dream home is covered in feces and I don't know how we're going to fix it," said Jenny Fisch. The buyer was pre-approved for a loan but only if he completed a program and improved his credit score. The lender said that never happened. This information was not made available to the Fischs and they only found out after the deal fell through. The couple said their agent and the buyer's agent assured them everything was good when they agreed to let the buyers rent. RE/MAX, the buyers realtor, said through a spokesperson that realtors don't qualify buyers and it is up to the lender."It's their fault and nobody wants to help us," said Jenny Fisch. The Fischs tried to filed a report with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office but they were told it was a civil matter. They also attempted to contact Child Protective Services because a child was in the home as well as animal control because seven dogs and three cats were found inside. It gets worse. Their insurance won't cover the damage. A spokesperson for Auto-Owners Insurance said they had no comment on the situation. Now the couple is paying a mortgage on a home they can't live in and trying to figure out how to come up with the funds to pay for repairs. The would-be buyers are nowhere to be found and a reporter has not been able to make contact with them."It was insane to me how somebody could live in such a nice home and in a matter of months, destroy everything," said Paul Fisch. 3362

During a town hall event on ABC on Tuesday night, President Donald Trump defended his administration's response to the COVID-19 pandemic and attempted to distance himself from his leaked admission that he "downplayed" the pandemic.During the event, hosted by George Stephanopoulos, Trump was repeatedly asked about the comments he made to journalist Bob Woodward in March that leaked earlier this month in which he said he wanted to "downplay" the pandemics so as "not to cause a panic."When Stephanopolous brought up the comments, Trump explained that he was simply saying he didn't "want to drive the nation into a panic.""I'm a cheerleader for this nation. I'm the one who closed up our country. I closed up the country long before any of the experts thought I should," Trump said. One study by Columbia University estimates that 36,000 lives could have been saved if the U.S. had locked down and adopted social distancing measures just one week sooner. When asked directly by an audience member about his comments to Woodward, Trump claimed his actions proved he "up-played" the pandemic."Well, I didn't downplay it. In many ways, I actually up-played it in terms of action. My action was very strong," Trump said.Trump pointed to travel restrictions he imposed to China on Feb. 2 and on Europe on March 13 as evidence that he "up-played" his response to the virus. Both restrictions still allowed some travel from the regions to enter the U.S.The President also questioned the effectiveness of masks during the event. While Trump said that he wears masks "in hospitals" and in other situations, he added that "a lot of people think the masks are not good."When asked to clarify, Trump identified "waiters" and restaurant servers in particular, adding that a server "the other day" had been fidgeting with a mask while touching his plate."That can't be good," Trump said.In a press briefing on Wednesday, Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said that Trump "agreed with Dr. Fauci" and was pointing out the "unintended consequences" of wearing masks and highlighting proper mask-wearing techniques. The President also explained his skepticism by citing recommendations from the CDC and Dr. Anthony Fauci from March against wearing masks. At the time, health officials did not recommend the use of masks over a fear of nationwide shortage. Since April, the CDC has recommended that all Americans wear masks when in situations where social distancing is difficult, and Fauci has admitted that "mixed messaging" on mask use by the government put the U.S. behind in its response to the virus.Trump also criticized Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden for not instituting a nationwide mask mandate, despite the fact that Biden does not currently hold public office."Like Joe Biden, they said they were going to do a national mandate on masks...he didn't do it. He never did it," Trump said.Trump closed the segment on COVID-19 by claiming without evidence that the virus would "go away without a vaccine." Trump said that the U.S. "over a period of time" would develop a cure that would be "herd developed," even without a vaccine.Health officials say that the U.S. will develop "herd immunity" when 70% of the country develops COVID-19 antibodies, whether through contraction or vaccination. Because the virus is so novel, it's unclear how long immunity will last or if the immunity or if COVID-19 mutations will limit immunity.During Wednesday's briefing, McEnany clarified that "herd immunity" was not a COVID-19 containment strategy considered by the White House. 3574
