JAMUL (CNS) - A small plane landed in thick grass southeast of Jamul Casino in Jamul Wednesday night, but no one was injured.Deputies received a call of a downed plane about 7:50 p.m. off Campo Road, according to Lt. Glen Twyman of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. The type of plane was not released.It was not immediately clear if the plane made an emergency landing or crashed, but neither occupant was injured.Fire crews remained on scene after the crash to prevent any of the nearby dry grass from catching on fire, Twyman said. 550

It was right in front of me. I actually saw the two people that were killed," said Sharon.The victims were identified as 22-year-old Eli Clayton and 27-year-old Taylor Robertson.“I worked my way outside and saw the young man, Taylor Robertson, and he was lying there face down, and we rolled him over to see if he was still alive. I think I witnessed him breathing his last breath," said Sharon.Sharon has been a part of the gaming community for years and heartbroken by the tragedy.“They're kids. They're kids having fun, kids doing what they love to do. They're parents having fun, they're you, they're me, they're everybody. It’s just kids playing a game, nothing more than that,” said Sharon.He has a message for those who lost their loved ones while they were supposed to be just having fun.“They didn't die alone. They died with a brotherhood. They died doing something they love to do, and their memory doesn't die. We're going through this every couple of months. JUSTIN, Texas – Yaser Abdel Said, one of the FBI’s 10 most wanted fugitives, was taken into custody in Texas on Wednesday.Said, 63, has been wanted since 2008, when the FBI says the father shot and killed his teenage daughters, 18-year-old Amina and 17-year-old Sarah.Before the shooting in Irving, the Egyptian-born suspect allegedly took the teens for a ride in his taxicab under the guise of taking them to get something to eat.A police report at the time said a family member reported Said threatened “bodily harm” against Sarah for going on a date with a non-Muslim, The Associated Press reports.Based on an investigation by the Irving Police Department, a capital murder-multiple warrant was issued for Said’s arrest on Jan. 2, 2008. And on Aug. 21 of that year, a federal unlawful flight to avoid prosecution warrant was issued by a U.S. district court.Said has been on the FBI’s 10 most wanted fugitives list since December 4, 2014. He was the 504th person to be placed on the list, which was established in March 1950.The search for Said was coordinated by the FBI’s Dallas Violent Crimes Task Force, which is composed of FBI special agents and officers from the Carrollton, Dallas, Garland, Grand Prairie, and Irving Police Departments and the Texas Department of Public Safety.Said is currently in federal custody and will soon be transferred to Dallas County.“His capture and arrest bring us one step closer to justice for Amina and Sarah,” said FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge Matthew DeSarno.“Even after 12 years of frustration and dead ends, the pursuit for their killer never ceased,” said Irving Police Chief Jeff Spivey. “Today’s arrest of their father, Yaser Said brings us closer to ensuring justice is served on their behalf.” 1758

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi lawmakers are taking steps to erase the Confederate battle emblem from the state flag. The symbol has come under criticism amid nationwide protests against racial injustice. The House voted Saturday to file a bill to remove the symbol that many see as racist. A committee would design a new flag including the words “In God We Trust.” Voters would decide in November whether to endorse that design. Mississippi has used the same flag for more than 125 years. Religious, education, sports and business leaders are pushing legislators to remove the Confederate symbol. Republican Gov. Tate Reeves said Saturday that he will sign a bill to change the flag. 695
