SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Recent rains have caused sewage-contaminated runoff to enter ocean water along Imperial Beach, San Diego County health officials announced Friday.An existing water contact closure of the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge coastline has been expanded to include all of Imperial Beach's coast, according to the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health.Due to recent rainfall, county health officials said sewage-contaminated runoff from the Tijuana River entered the Tijuana Estuary. Water samples and observations caused officials to believe the contamination has reached ocean water in the South Bay.Signs and warnings have been placed in the area until water samples indicate the ocean is safe for recreational use once again.RELATED COVERAGE: 792

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are asking for the public’s help finding a man who went missing early in the day Wednesday. According to police, 77-year-old David McArthur left his home on the 7900 block of Wing Span Drive around 10 a.m. to work on his boat at The Southwestern Yacht Club. He was last seen walking toward his vehicle in the parking lot of the yacht club, according to a family friend. McArthur was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s six years ago. McArthur is described as a white man, 77-years-old who is bald with grey hair on the sides and a thin build. Police say he also wears a yellow metal wedding ring and black band digital watch on his left wrist. McArthur is from New Zealand and speaks with a slight accent. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego County will expand enforcement efforts to track down businesses knowingly operating in violation of the current public health order.After a bit of a lengthy back and forth, the board of supervisors voted unanimously to expand the current enforcement team.Currently, the county’s newly developed Safe Reopening Compliance Team focuses on egregious cases, outbreaks, and complaints.There are only ten staff members presently on the team, 13 more will be added on during phase one to continue looking into egregious cases and outbreak investigations.A Healthy Compliance Call Center also went live, where members of the public can report violations of the public health order by calling (858) 694- 2900.Tuesday’s vote to include a phase two will add 22 staff members at .8 million to follow up with businesses or entities that are still operating in violation of the public health order.The funding will come from the CARES Act.Two other enforcement options were on the table for supervisors consider, but they were voted down by the majority.Dr. Wilma Wooten, the county’s public health officer, has already sent several letters ordering businesses to close down until they comply with the order.A handful of gyms and churches in the county have stayed open inside despite being ordered to close or move their operations outdoors.This week the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office filed five misdemeanor charges against a Ramona gym owner for failing to comply. 1505

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect wanted for shooting and killing a 27-year-old woman.Police say Robert Reed reportedly shot Sylvianita Widman during an apparent road-rage incident on the 100 block of Meadowbrook Drive at 5:30 p.m. Monday.According to police, two cars were traveling north down Meadowbrook when they both stopped and the passengers got into an argument.RELATED: Woman dies after being shot in a Skyline intersectionWidman then reportedly approached Reed while he was in his car.
