(KGTV) - The minds behind the racy card game known for their unorthodox holiday promotions have returned with yet another odd proposal. And one that may strike at the heart of Washington D.C.Card Against Humanity wrote online they have purchased a plot of land along the United States-Mexico border in an effort to stall President Donald Trump's planned border wall.RELATED: Amazon releases its Top 100 Holiday Toys for the 2017 season"So we’ve purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built," the company's website reads. The company doesn't provide any actual proof they have purchased the land, but promised those who sign up for the promotion a map of the parcel of land, new cards, and "a few other surprises."The game makers warned though, "it will be fun, it will be weird, and if you voted for Trump, you might want to sit this one out."The company has built a cult following around its out-of-the-ordinary holiday promotions.Last year the company ran a Black Friday promotion to dig a hole as deep as possible. The reason?RELATED: Black Friday 2017 sales predictions: Game consoles, kitchenware and TVs will be deals"You’re supposed to think it’s funny. You might not get it for a while, but some time next year you’ll chuckle quietly to yourself and remember all this business about the hole," the company wrote.Previous iterations of the promotion have also included paying for absolutely nothing in return.Eight border wall prototypes were completed in Otay Mesa last month. The federal government has about two months from their completion to evaluate the prototypes. 1748

(KGTV) — Upon President Trump's visit to the Calexico border Friday, Rep. Duncan Hunter requested the President pardon two former Border Patrol agents.Ignacio Ramos, Jr., and Jose Compean were both jailed in 2006, for 11 and 12 years, respectively, on assault with a firearm resulting in great bodily injury and obstruction of justice charges. Both former agents had their sentences communed by former President George W. Bush in 2009.RELATED: President Trump visits Southern California, tours US-Mexico border in CalexicoThe agents were in pursuit of Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila in 2005 near El Paso, Texas, for suspected drug activity. The pursuit became a foot chase when Aldrete-Davila reportedly abandoned his van and tried to run back across the border to Mexico.During the foot chase, Ramos caught up and a struggle began between the two, Hunter's letter stated. Aldrete-Davila broke free and made a run, again, toward the border, during which time both Ramos and Compean opened fire, striking Aldrete-Davila in the buttocks. 1035

(KGTV) - Uber is expanding its role as a common ride-sharing platform into the healthcare sector in its release of "Uber Health," the company announced Thursday.Uber Health partners with healthcare organizations and is designed to provide rides for patients, caregivers, and staff. The primary aim is to serve patients, though, as access is available without a smartphone."Riders don’t need the Uber app, or even a smartphone, to get a ride with Uber Health because it’s all done through text message. We’re even going to be introducing the option for riders to receive a call with trip details to their mobile phone or landline instead," a release from the company said.RELATED: Study claims more people are hailing an Uber over an ambulanceHealthcare providers can schedule rides on clients' behalf, the passenger is contacted by text message with their trip details when the ride is booked and also when their driver arrives, and then the passenger is picked up and dropped off.If the passenger does not have a mobile phone, Uber said the healthcare company or caregiver can coordinate on their behalf.Uber said the service will hopefully cut down on the number of patients who miss doctor appointment due to transportation issues.RELATED: Man goes on a ,635 Uber ride through several states"Every year an estimated 3.6 million Americans miss their appointments due to a lack of reliable transportation. At Uber, we recognize that the path to health may not be easy, but we know the road to care can be," the company says.Organizations that partner with Uber Health will be given access to track billing, appointments, and schedule multiple follow-up appointments simultaneously. The company added their product will meet HIPAA standards.Uber plans to use drivers already in their established network to facilitate the service. 1879

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to the death of a 98-year-old Wadsworth, Ohio woman who was found dead in a "hidden location" inside her home last week. The teen was in a Cleveland-area location when authorities learned of his involvement in the death of Margaret Douglas, who was reported missing by an out-of-town relative after one of her friends had not been in contact with her since April 3. 442
