It's a disturbing generational shift that puts young people in greater peril than many realize and poses an even bigger danger to the older people who cross their paths. National figures show that almost as soon as states began reopening, people 18 to 49 years old quickly became the age bracket most likely to be diagnosed with new cases. And although every age group saw an increase in cases during the first week in June, the numbers shot up fastest in the younger age group.“The virus hasn’t changed. We have changed our behaviors,” said Ali Mokdad, professor of health metrics sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle according to The Associated Press. “Younger people are more likely to be out and taking a risk.”In Florida, people aged between 15 and 34 make up nearly a third of all cases of COVID-19 in the state. SOLANA BEACH, Calif. (KGTV) -- Bike riders in Solana Beach were out in their bright pink Saturday morning to raise money for breast cancer patients. It was all part of the annual Boob Ride lead riders along the coast, some as far north as Camp Pendleton. Participants could ride for 30, 60 or 90 miles.After the ride, there was a big party at Tidewater Tavern where riders enjoyed a buffet, massages and beer. Over 200 cyclists were expected, over 300 showed up to the after party.All of the money raised goes to help breast cancer patients with meal preps, rides to appointments and other needs.  630

Several people were hurt in an "inmate-on-inmate" disturbance at CoreCivic's Red Rock Correctional Facility in Eloy, Arizona on Sunday morning.Twelve inmates were taken to outside medical facilities for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, and one staff member was treated and released for minor injuries sustained in the incident, according to Jonathan Burns, CoreCivic's Director of Public Affairs.Burns says the disturbance happened just after 8:30 a.m. local time.The facility has been secured and all inmates and staff are accounted for, Burns said. CoreCivic is working with the Arizona Department of Corrections and local law enforcement as they continue to investigate.   724

(AP) -- Health officials have confirmed a case of plague at South Lake Tahoe -- the first in California in five years.El Dorado County officials said Monday the California Department of Public Health notified them of the positive test of a local resident who is under medical care while recovering at home.Plague bacteria are most often transmitted by fleas that have acquired it from infected squirrels, chipmunks and other wild rodents.Health officials believe the South Tahoe resident may have been bitten by an infected flea while walking a dog along the Truckee River corridor or in the Tahoe Keys area on Tahoe's south shore. 664
