SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea announced that it has test-fired a new type of tactical guided weapon. The Korean Central News Agency says Chairman Kim Jong Un observed the firing of the weapon Wednesday by the Academy of Defense Science.The agency reports that Kim said “the development of the weapon system serves as an event of very weighty significance in increasing the combat power of the People’s Army.”The agency says Kim mounted an observation post to learn about the test-fire of the new-type tactical guided weapon and guide the test-fire.The announcement came after reports of new activity at a North Korean missile research center and long-range rocket site where the North is believed to build long-range missiles targeting the U.S. mainland.The White House said it was aware of the report and had no comment.The Associated Press could not immediately and independently verify North Korea’s claim. 925

That’s what one 11-year-old is trying to accomplish.Fred Ginman may not have the legs of an athlete, but he certainly has the heart."That’s the message I think Fred has to everyone, 'don’t stop even though we are under coronavirus times,'" said mother Isabella Amaral.Fred is on day three of a 10-day 5K. The goal is 10 laps a day, or 500 meters, around the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay courtyard."The physical therapy we do here it's very modern, very sophisticated, and it's giving Fred hope," said Amaral.Fred and his mom are from Brazil. They have spent more than 600 nights at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay since 2012, as Fred receives treatment for cerebral palsy. The goal is to one day walk on his own."That's our dream, that's our goal, that's what we envision every night, we envision walking freely on the beach," said Amaral.The family said Ronald McDonald House has been there for them every step of the way and now they want to return the favor. All money raised in support of Fred's Fun Run will go back to helping families like their own."Because since the beginning the Ronald McDonald House has embraced our mission to get Fred walking freely," said Amaral.Ronald McDonald House acknowledges its been a tough year. Their costs have increased while their funding has decreased during the pandemic. SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (KGTV) -- One man was arrested in Spring Valley Tuesday afternoon following a chase that led to a four-car crash. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the fugitive task force was following a parolee at large Tuesday afternoon. When they tried to pull the parolee over, he took off, leading a deputies on a chase. At some point during the chase, the man caused a four-vehicle crash near Gillespie Drive and Jamacha Road. The department says two people were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. A deputy and K-9 were also involved in the crash, but managed to escape without injury. The parolee was arrested. 667

SPRINGDALE, Utah — A woman who was missing for nearly two weeks has been found safe in Zion National Park.Authorities had been searching for 38-year-old Holly Suzanne Courtier after she didn't show up for her scheduled pickup in the park by a private shuttle on Oct. 6.She was found Sunday by search and rescue crews after rangers received a "credible tip" that a visitor had seen her in the park, the National Parks Service said. She has since been reunited with her family.“We are overjoyed that she was found safely today," Courtier's family said in a statement. "We would like to thank the rangers and search teams who relentlessly looked for her day and night and never gave up hope. We are also so grateful to the countless volunteers who were generous with their time, resources and support. This wouldn’t have been possible without the network of people who came together.”Courtier's daughter told CNN that her mother injured her head while hiking and became disoriented. "She injured her head on a tree," Chambers told CNN. "She was very disoriented as a result and thankfully ended up near a water source -- a river bed. Some bars will close for two weeks starting Tuesday under a new decision by Governor Andy Beshear's office.Starting Tuesday at 5 p.m., freestanding bars will close and restaurants will be limited to 25% capacity indoors. Outside seating can remain as long as social distancing measures are in place.This will be in effect for two weeks, until August 11.During the COVID-19 briefing, Gov.
