BEIJING, April 17 (Xinhua) -- The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, on Thursday released its legislation plan for the year.
According to the secretariat for the second session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC), the revisions were made after the report was reviewed by the NPC deputies and discussed by members of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee.
The premier also depicted a dream of connecting African capitals with high-speed rail, saying that China is willing to use its world-leading technologies in this area to help make the dream come true so as to improve pan-African communication and development.
During the meeting at the Great Hall of the People, Xi highlighted agreements between the two countries on direct trading of currencies, saying that he believes Key's China tour will instil new vitality into the bilateral relationship.
The NPC's Standing Committee decided to ratify September 3 as the victory day to keep history firmly in mind, recall the Chinese people's arduous resistance against Japanese aggression, and commemorate heroic martyrs in the war as well as all the people who contributed to the victory, the decision said.
