IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. (KGTV) -- It appears the “Don Juan” thief one woman says loves stealing from women on first dates is a wanted man.Last Friday, 10news recounted Elizabeth’s so-called “date from hell.”  Elizabeth, 23, says the man is a good-looking guy in his late 20s who was a Facebook friend for two years.  They had mutual friends in common but had never met. RELATED: 'Don Juan' thief targeting women, some on first datesHe messaged her recently, asking her out to a sushi lunch. She agreed, but during the drive, she says he fidgeted with his blinkers and asked her to exit the SUV to make sure they were working. She agreed, and that's when he took off, with her purse, wallet, and sunglasses. When she posted his photo on Facebook, she says she got a flood of responses: dozens of other women with similar stories of theft."One woman said, 'He told me he had a gift for me in the trunk, and as soon as I got out, he drove off with my purse and several hundred dollars,'" Elizabeth recalls. She says none of the women called police because the man told them he had friends in a cartel.  But apparently at least one woman did. Sources tell 10news an arrest warrant has recently been issued for him after a different local woman accused him of stealing money and other property valued at more than 0.10news has also learned the man pleaded guilty in 2015 to embezzling from his employer - Walmart - and received a sentence of three years probation.10new has not identified the man in Elizabeth’s case because detectives haven’t officially confirmed he is the wanted man.If you have any information, please call San Diego Police at (619) 531-2000. 1700

"Our new and increased service offers travelers more opportunities to find warm-weather getaways and visit friends and family over the winter season."The new routes could begin as early as December. United says the new non-stop flights are subject to government approval. 806

If you're planning on voting with an absentee or mail-in ballot, chances are you feel pretty protected from COVID-19 while voting this year. But what if you're voting in-person? Experts weigh in on staying safe when heading to your polling place. The first piece of advice is to have a plan."The example I would give would be going to the grocery store. That's something that caused people a lot of anxiety when we first were dealing with the pandemic back in March, and I think for many of us, it’s becoming relatively routine. It's not how we shopped for groceries back in January but it's something that we’ve learned to do. I think voting can be the same," said Dr. Jay Varkey, an infectious disease doctor and Associate Professor at Emory University.Dr. Varkey says to know the COVID-19 transmission rates in your community, as well as your own personal risk, if you were to become infected with COVID-19."To give some specific examples, masking is absolute, and I would want to make sure that there is a universal mask mandate in place and not just those that are going to cast their votes but workers as well," said Dr. Varkey.Dr. Varkey says wearing a mask that has at least two layers and wearing it properly is key. Also, ensure your polling place allows you to socially distance from other voters. Dr. Varkey says standing more than 6 feet away from others is preferred. Also, it’s great if your polling place is keeping doors and windows open to increase airflow."The other thing, and I know this is hard to do, the more we can actually limit the amount of talking, or certainly yelling or singing or anything else going on, is the more we can reduce our chances of passing these infectious droplets that can aerosolize, and that tends to really occur when people are talking. Masks reduce that risk, but we can really reduce it more by, well, talking less," says Dr. Varkey. In Madison, Wisconsin, poll workers will be ensuring voters are socially-distanced and frequently disinfecting all voting booths, pens and other frequently touched items. City Clerk Maribeth Witzel-Behl has been working closely with their local health department."We will have plexiglass glass set up for stations where poll workers have to interact with voters within 6 feet of each other, and for other poll workers who are not at those stations, they’ll have access to face shields if they like," said Witzel-Behl.Poll workers are also being told to follow a strict set of health guidelines in order to volunteer."If they've had a fever within the last few days or taken a fever-reducing medication in the past few days, they can’t work at the poll. If they've had any COVID-19 symptoms or been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or had a cough within the past week they can’t work at the polls," said Witzel-Behl.So, do you need to bring a container of disinfecting wipes with you to the polls?"I put the priority first on the masks and keeping your distance but that last part on how to take a relatively safe activity, like voting and make it extra safe, there’s two things I would bring with me into the voting booth. One is my own pen the other is hand sanitizer," said Dr. Varkey. 3182

If success at the box office equated into Academy Award success, you would expect "Star Wars," "Wonder Woman" and "Beauty and the Beast" to do well during Sunday's Oscars. While these movies, which represented the top three movies for domestic gross at the box office in 2017, were nominated for a combined six Academy Awards, a number of movies that didn't do so well at the Box Office received more nominations. As a matter of fact, if you combined the domestic box office totals of the nine films nominated for Best Picture, the total would still be lower than "Star Wars, The Last Jedi.""The Shape of Water" came in at No. 50 at the box office in 2017 according to Box Office Mojo. "The Shape of Water" led all movies in 2017 with 13 Academy Award nominations. "The Shape of Water" grossed million and is up for top awards such as Best Picture, Best Director (Guillermo del Toro) and Best Actress (Sally Hawkins)."Dunkirk" was second behind "The Shape of Water" for Academy Award nominations with eight, including nods for Best Picture, Best Director (Christopher Nolan) and Best Score. "Dunkirk" topped all nine films nominated for Best Picture, grossing 8 million in the US, ranking No. 14. "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" is up for seven nominations on Sunday. The film, which is also up for Best Picture, grossed just 2,168 in its opening weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" has since made some cash, grossing million, which made it No. 55 domestically in 2017. "Phantom Thread," which has six nominations including Best Picture, had an even more humble box office journey. It grossed 6,495 in its opening weekend, before taking in million overall. The film did not crack the top 100 domestically. "Darkest Hour" also had six nominations and is up for Best Picture, and only grossed 5,000 its opening weekend. It has since grossed million in the United States. Among movies that topped the Box Office, "Star Wars, The Last Jedi" received four Academy Award nominations. The picture was the top grossing domestic film in 2017, making 8 million. The second-best grossing film of 2017 in the United States, "Beauty and the Beast," was nominated twice. The only other film with a nomination among those in the Top 10 at the box office was "Guardian of the Galaxy." "Guardian of the Galaxy," which was the fourth-highest domestic grossing film, received a nomination for Best Visual Effects.  2548
