The Miami Police Department says what began as disagreement about masks led to an assault on Sunday evening.According to a statement from the Miami Police Department, the incident began at Latin Cafe, a ventanita or coffee shop near Miami International Airport. Surveillance video shows five people milling about outside of the cafe.The Miami Police Department says a few patrons got into an argument about mask compliance. Video shows one customer, wearing a mask and a red shirt, gesturing toward cafe employees and appearing to speak in exaggerated tones toward another customer without a mask.The customer without a mask stepped toward the man in the red shirt, and then a struggle ensued. Additional security footage shows the man in the red shirt falling to the ground. That man's girlfriend saw the incident from her car and ran to help. Police say she was also hit during the scuffle.Miami Police Officer Kiara Delva told WSVN-TV in Miami that the fight left the man in the red shirt "disoriented."Police say they're searching for four people in connection with the incident. It's unclear how many of those people could face charges.Miami currently requires the use of masks in public to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The man authorities believe is the Golden State Killer will face yet another murder charge, authorities said Monday.Joseph DeAngelo, 72, will be charged with the 1975 murder of Claude Snelling, with a special allegation of the use of a firearm, according to Stuart Anderson, spokesman for the Tulare County, California, district attorney's office.DeAngelo has already been charged in 12 killings, including the 1978 deaths of Katie and Brian Maggiore. Police say he committed a series of killings, rapes and other crimes attributed to the so-called Golden State Killer, also known as the East Area Rapist and the Original Night Stalker.The Visalia Police Department and officials with the district attorney's office will hold a news conference Monday to give details about the latest charge.Claude Snelling was shot and killed in September of 1975 as he charged at a masked man who was trying to abduct his daughter from his home, according to the Visalia Times Delta.Authorities said the Maggiores were killed after possibly spotting the Golden State Killer as they walked their dog near a home in Rancho Cordova, California, outside Sacramento. The complaint alleges that DeAngelo shot the couple using an "unknown caliber firearm."DeAngelo appeared in court in late April in a wheelchair, but didn't enter a plea to the charges of murdering the Maggiores.Decades after the killings terrified communities throughout California, authorities tracked down DeAngelo using data from an ancestry website where people submit their DNA results in hopes of tracking down relatives and ancestors.DNA from a crime scene was matched to genetic material from a relative who was registered on genealogy sites, and authorities later obtained a discarded sample of DeAngelo's DNA.DeAngelo, a former police officer, Vietnam veteran and mechanic, was a reclusive neighbor in Citrus Heights, a town about 16 miles northeast of Sacramento, according to residents. 1953

The Phoenix Police Department says the ex-boyfriend of Kiera Bergman, a 19-year-old woman who has been missing since August 4, has been arrested for identity theft.Police say 23-year-old Jon Clark was being questioned in relation to Bergman’s disappearance when police found several items with the personal identification of other people as well as items indicating forgery in his vehicle.Clark was arrested Friday and booked into jail for 22 counts of aggravated identity theft and two counts of forgery.Police have given no indication that this arrest connects Clark to Bergman’s missing person’s case.Bergman was last seen at her home near on Aug. 4.According to police, Bergman never returned home after leaving and has not been seen or heard from since.Kiersten Bragg, Bergman's mother, says her daughter went to work that Saturday morning, and Clark picked her up but she never made it back to their apartment.Police still say her disappearance is considered suspicious, and they are still asking anyone with any information on her disappearance to call 480-WITNESS. 1085

Malls across the country are planning pandemic-minded visits to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.Mall Santa Steve Miller has been putting on the red suit full-time for four years.“I prefer to do the mall, because I do it for the kids,” sad Miller.But this year, there won’t be any hugs or sitting on Santa’s knee.“Because of the virus, it's going to take a little of fun out of it, but it's going to be much more safe, which is the number one thing that we want,” said Miller.Appearances by St. Nick at malls, corporate events and private appearances is a holiday tradition that’s already being impacted by the pandemic.“We've been working with a lot of retailers as well as malls too. How can we still have the experience of Santa, but keep everybody safe?” said Mitch Allen, founder of HireSanta.com.According to entertainment staffing firm Hire Santa, bookings that usually peak beginning in early November were down 95% due to coronavirus concerns. But after advertising their safety efforts, demand is up 20% compared to this time last year.“The Santa Claus entertainers, as you can imagine, they're a high-risk group. The Lee County Sheriff's Office says a Minnesota fugitive wanted for the murder of her husband is also responsible for a murder in Fort Myers Beach, Florida this week.Lee County Undersheriff Carmine Marceno said in a press conference Friday that they believe that Lois Reiss has since fled Southwest Florida to the Corpus Christi, Texas area.A national manhunt is under way for Reiss, who is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.Marceno says Reiss befriended 59-year-old Pamela Hutchinson and targeted her due to their similar appearance. Investigators say Reiss murdered Hutchinson in her?condo Monday, then took her ID and car and fled Southwest Florida in Hutchinson's white 2005 Acura TL with a Florida license plate Y37-TAA.Reiss is believed to have traveled through the Gulf coast to Corpus Cristi, Texas, but her current whereabouts are unknown.Reiss is wanted for Murder and Grand Theft.According to KLXT-TV in Rochester, Minnesota, Reiss is facing second degree murder charges there after shooting her husband to death back in March.According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Reiss’ car was found abandoned in Florida earlier this week and she remains at large.Law enforcement also believe she stole over ,000 from her deceased husband's business. 1347
