WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) says it’s sticking with its July 15 deadline for Americans to file and pay their federal taxes. The original filing deadline and payment due date for 2019 was postponed from April 15 to July 15 due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the IRS says taxpayers who are unable to meet the July 15 deadline can request an automatic extension of time to file until Oct. 15. You can file for an extension here. Those filing for an extension must do so by July 15. The IRS says the extension provides additional time to file a tax return, but it’s not an extension to pay any taxes due.The IRS urges people who owe taxes, even if they have a filing extension, to carefully review their situation and pay what they can by July 15 to avoid penalties and interest.“The IRS understands that those affected by the coronavirus may not be able to pay their balances in full by July 15, but we have many payment options to help taxpayers,” said IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig. “These easy-to-use payment options are available on IRS.gov, and most can be done automatically without reaching out to an IRS representative.”While the deadline for federal taxes remains on April 15, states may have different deadlines for their taxes. A list of state tax division websites is available through the Federation of Tax Administrators.Click here for more information from the IRS, including payment options. 1442

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump and the first lady were greeted with boos Thursday as they visited the Supreme Court to pay their respects to the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. As Trump stood next to the justice's casket, a crowd chanted “vote him out” and “honor her wish,” referring to Ginsburg’s request that the next president should fill her open seat.Just days before her death, Ginsburg’s granddaughter, Clara Spera, says the justice dictated this statement to her, “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”Ginsburg died last week at the age of 87. She is currently lying in repose at the Supreme Court for a second day.The president will announce his candidate to replace Ginsburg on Saturday. His decision to name a candidate and the Senate’s decision to quickly hold hearings ahead of the November 3 election has sparked controversy.Hundreds of mourners passed by her coffin Wednesday outside the Supreme Court, following a ceremony including Ginsburg’s family, close friends, colleagues from the court, and more than 100 former law clerks.Friday, Ginsburg’s coffin will be moved to the U.S Capitol, where she will become the first woman to lie in state since the honor started in 1852.A private graveside ceremony will be held next week at Arlington National Cemetery. 1347

We all have feelings. Some good. Some bad. But as adults and professionals, we really have to manage our emotions. Now, a company in Nashville is offering an experience dedicated to helping you deal. It's called Bash-ville. Owner Gena Lea said her "rage room" is the perfect way to let off some steam. "They tell you to hit a pillow. Some people smash their phones. Come here, break my stuff instead," she said. "We do bachelorette parties and divorce parties so keep our card just in case."Bashers can customize their experience."We have axes, we have a rolling pins, baseball bats, hammers," she said. So, pick your poison: Choose breakables, and your favorite song. They provide the gloves and goggles. You provide the anger. Once you've run out of things to bash and smash and destroy, hopefully you'll leave your rage inside the room where it belongs."They come in the door and they're hesitant, a little scared. When they leave they're smiling, they're happy. It's a release," she said. If you have anger issues go seek professional help. Bash-ville is for fun and decompression from every day stressors! Wendy Vitter, one of President Donald Trump's judicial nominees, refused on Wednesday to say whether a landmark civil rights opinion was correctly decided, triggering outrage and renewed criticism of the President's efforts to reshape the judiciary. At issue was Brown v. the Board of Education -- a seminal opinion that held that state laws requiring separate but equal schools violated the Constitution."I don't mean to be coy," Vitter, who is up for a seat on the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, said at her confirmation hearing, "but I think I can get into a difficult, difficult area when I start commenting on Supreme Court decisions -- which are correctly decided and which I may disagree with." 734
