SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Medical Board of California has filed an accusation and petition to revoke the probation of a Del Mar doctor who is accused of prowling in a former girlfriend’s backyard.10News first broke the story about Dr. Jeffrey Lovin in May after we were given home security video showing a man lurking behind a home. An ex-girlfriend said the man in the video was Dr. Lovin, a radiologist. Lovin was charged with prowling, peeking and violating a restraining order. He pleaded not guilty.At the time, Lovin was already on probation with the Medical Board for other criminal activity. This month, the Board issued an accusation and petition to revoke his probation. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The Guinness Book of World Records' largest-ever bounce house will visit 27 U.S. cities this year, including two weekend stints in San Diego.The Big Bounce America tour will bring "The World's Largest Bounce House" to San Diego for two weekends Oct. 18-20 and 25-27. The massive inflatable castle stands 32-feet tall and covers 10,000-square-feet of space.Guests can hop into several different "zones " within the puffy castle walls, including an obstacle course, ball pit, basketball hoops, a giant slide, and more. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The 19th annual True Blue Luncheon celebrated the bravery shown by three officers who shared their experience in the Rolando shooting almost a year later.The very shield that protected Officers Francisco Roman and Dan Bihum was at the luncheon, helping SD Police Foundation donors understand what their money is going toward. The shield is hefty, with a steel plate inside, according to Officer Trevor Philip.Bihum said he saw two bright flashes, "two of the rounds struck me." "He literally fell right in front of me it was probably one of the hardest moments of my life," Roman said.RELATED: Body camera video shows San Diego Police shooting in RolandoThat night, June 23, 2018, the distress call from a neighbor concerned about Joe Darwish turned into a gunfight injuring two officers and ultimately ending with Darwish's death.The shield was handed to Roman and Bihum while they were trapped in the hallway."As soon as Francisco got the shield in front of them he took another volley of gunfire and two of the rounds hit the shield," a SWAT Officer said."Just a great feeling because we had some form of protection," Roman said. Both officers struggled to share, as they relived the moments on that day."The shield absolutely saved our life," Roman said tearing up. He looked away, clenched his jaw and continued, "it definitely saved us for sure."Thursday, they shared their story with a room full of donors in the Harbor Island Sheraton. Their goal is in sharing their trauma, they hoped to inspire San Diegans to open their wallets and help them buy 758 more shields so that their brothers and sisters in blue are protected. The money raised by the luncheon goes to the San Diego Police Foundation, who helps buy whatever the department needs. In 2018, the luncheon raised 0,000. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The new community plan for Kearny Mesa, given final approval by the City Council earlier this week, takes effect Friday. Several properties are being rezoned with 27,000 new housing units planned for those parcels.“My vision is that within five years, you’ll be able to live on Convoy, enjoy the restaurants and the shops that are on Convoy, and work in a job in Kearny Mesa, all in one community," City Councilmember Chris Cate, who represents the area, told ABC 10News ahead of the final vote.Cate says the city is trying to encourage a"live-work" village concept for many San Diego neighborhoods, especially those that are major job centers, such as Kearny Mesa. The idea is that by creating housing and recreational possibilities in the same communities where people work, they will have to commute less. That has numerous benefits across the city, including less traffic and car pollution.It is anticipated that many of the new projects will replace aging strip malls whose parking lots remain vacant much of the time. Cate hopes the areas around Convoy St., Clairemont Mesa Blvd., and Aero Dr. will become similar to the feel of Little Italy.Because parameters have already been set for how many homes will go onto each affected parcel, as well as other necessities such as pathways, street improvements, and parks, there will not be the same drawn-out approval process that has been seen with other recent attempts at development. Cate says that means developers who acquire the land will be able to move quickly, as long as their design stays within the parameters of the community plan. “They already have an understanding of what these projects will look like, what’s required of them, where different pathways or parks will go. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The brother-in-law of a woman killed in a murder-suicide in Paradise Hills spoke to 10News about her relationship with the father of her young sons.On the morning of Nov. 16, 29-year-old Sabrina Rosario and her four sons were shot by the boys' father in a home on Flintridge Drive, according to San Diego police.Rosario and three of her sons died, and the boys' father -- identified as 31-year-old Jose Valdivia -- shot himself to death after killing the family members.As of Sunday afternoon, Rosario's 9-year-old son, Ezequiel, was in an induced coma at Rady Children's Hospital.RELATED: Parents, 3 children killed in Paradise Hills murder-suicideKarl Albright, Rosario's brother-in-law, told 10News, "No one thinks it's going to happen until it's happened."Albright said he has so many questions about what led Valdivia to gun down his wife and children. According to Albright, Valdivia's infidelity broke Rosario's heart a year ago, and she decided to end things."She had made her mind up that it's over, and he didn't want to accept that," Albright said. "He wanted it back. And he tried to, the love way, and then he tried the fear way, and he tried every way in between to try to break through, but she stood her ground."Albright said Valdivia's threatening texts and stalker behavior escalated six months ago when he bragged about purchasing a gun.Albright explained Valdivia would tell Rosario, "I'm going to come over and kill myself in front of you guys. I'm going to kill you guys, then kill myself."Rosario told him that he sounded like the boy who cried wolf, according to Albright.A records search shows two cases of domestic violence in 2019. On Nov. 15, police said Rosario spent the whole day at court obtaining a restraining order against her husband.When he called that night, she told him she had no other choice. He never called back.Albright said she told him that their problems would be solved, and her children would be safe."Even what they were living in, and what she was going through in the house, she had an umbrella over the kids, and it never fazed them," Albright said.Instead, the next morning, police said the children's father came into the granny flat on Flintridge Drive and shot his wife and four children in the head before shooting himself.Rosario and 3-year-old Enzi died at the home. Five-year-old Zuriel, 9-year-old Ezequiel, and 11-year-old Zeth were rushed to the hospital. Zuriel and Zeth did not make it.Life will never be the same for relatives who live next door."Now that Thanksgiving is coming up and Christmas. We've already got Christmas gifts for the kids and for her," Albright said.Those gifts will remain under the tree in their honor."They were fun-loving. They were well-raised.
