That's compared to the 242,820 that Biden received in carrying the state. It's also more than the 1,269 that independent candidate Kanye West received, despite being listed on the ballot.Among write-in candidates, Sen. Bernie Sanders received the most with 619. That's not exactly a surprise — the left-wing, progressive senator calls the state home and is currently in the midst of his third term as one of the state's senators.Other top vote-getters included moderate Republicans like Sen. Mitt Romney (57 votes) and former Ohio Gov. John Kasich (30 votes). Candidates who sought the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, like Rep. Investigators searching for missing University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts have gotten hundreds of tips and are looking for her in ponds, fields and from the air, officials said Friday morning at a news conference."Unfortunately, we have not yet found Mollie, but it has not been due to a lack of effort or a lack of resources," said Kevin Winker, director of investigative operations for the Iowa Department of Public Safety.Tips on the missing student "have been coming in regularly," and 30 to 40 investigators are on the case, Winker said.The 2-week-old case is "very frustrating, but it hasn't slowed our efforts," Winker said, adding that investigators "come to work everyday with the attitude that we're going to find Mollie."Asked whether they're investigating Tibbitts' disappearance as an abduction, Winker said they are treating it as a missing person case. INDIANAPOLIS -- A suspected drunk driver whose middle name is “Tequila” crashed into three cars across from the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis before fleeing on foot Sunday morning, according to police.The crash happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday in Indianapolis, just across from the museum.According to an incident report, 33-year-old Alisha Tequila Jefferson was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger when she collided with three vehicles parked on the street.Police said Jefferson fled on foot, but was found hiding in the bushes a short distance away.Jefferson was arrested on preliminary charges of OWI, driving while suspended and leaving the scene of an accident. 682

In the latest scathing allegation against the Catholic church, Pennsylvania's attorney general said the Vatican knew about a cover-up involving sex abuse allegations against priests.
