A day after Republicans attempted to portray the Democratic Party's platform as "far-left socialism," the Trump campaign will attempt to continue that messaging during the second night of speeches at the Republican National Convention. On Monday, speakers attempted to paint Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden as part of the party's left-wing, despite his moderate record. Speakers warned of progressive Democrats' calls to defund police departments and institute gun control measures.Tuesday's program will attempt to further those talking points. According to the Trump Campaign website, the second day of the RNC will focus on "how Democrats' radical left agenda will deny Americans the opportunity to achieve their full potential."The theme of Tuesday's program is "Land of Opportunity," which includes a focus on the Trump policies that Republicans say "empower" all Americans.Tuesday's slate of speakers is highlighted by Sec. of State Mike Pompeo, one of Trump's fiercest allies. Pompeo's speech will likely focus on Trump's defeat of the Islamic State group, his attempts to normalize relations with North Korea and his attempts to push back against national security threats from China.Pompeo drew criticisms last week for tweeting a Simpsons GIF to mock House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Also expected to speak is Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron — the man currently in charge of investigating the death of Breonna Taylor a the hands of police in March. Two of Trump's children are also slated to deliver addresses — Eric, his second-oldest son, and Tiffany, his youngest daughter.Below is Tuesday's list of speakers in the order in which they are expected to appear.Pastor Norma Urrabazo, International Church of Las VegasMyron Lizer, Vice President of the Navajo NationRichard Beasley, former FBI special agent an President of Global Intelligence NetworkJon Ponder, founder and CEO of HOPE for Prisoners, Inc.Sen. A limousine carrying several couples to a birthday party failed to stop at an intersection in upstate New York and struck a parked vehicle, killing 20 people in the deadliest transportation accident in the United States in nearly a decade, according to authorities and a family member. The 2001 Ford Excursion limo was traveling southwest on State Route 30 when it didn't stop at the intersection with State Route 30 A and collided with an SUV in a parking lot shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday in Schoharie, New York State Police First Deputy Superintendent Chris Fiore said. All 18 people in the limo were killed, including the driver, Fiore said Sunday. Two pedestrians near the unoccupied, parked 2015 Toyota Highlander were also killed, he said.Valerie Abeling told CNN her niece, Erin Vertucci and Erin's husband Shane McGowan, who were married in June, were among the victims in the limo."My family is just going through a lot," Abeling said. "It's a horrible tragedy and there's no words to describe how we feel."Authorities are still notifying the families of victims and declined to release the victims' names, according to Fiore. 1143

A defamation case brought by a former "Apprentice" contestant against President Donald Trump will move forward after a New York judge on Tuesday denied a defense motion for a dismissal or for a continuance of the case until he leaves office.Summer Zervos, a former contestant on the NBC show, has accused Trump of sexually assaulting her in 2007. Trump has denied her claims, at one point dismissing Zervos' and another woman's accusations at a campaign rally, calling them "total fiction" and "all false stuff."Zervos claims Trump kissed her twice on the lips during a lunch meeting in his New York City office, and on a separate occasion in Beverly Hills, she alleges he kissed her aggressively and touched her breast.Lawyers for the President have "to answer within 10 days of notice of entry of this order," Judge Jennifer Schecter wrote. The statute of limitations for the alleged misconduct has long passed. So in January 2017, with attorney Gloria Allred by her side, Zervos tried a different legal approach. She sued for defamation, arguing that Trump injured her reputation by accusing her of lying.Trump lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the case, arguing that a president has immunity from such lawsuits in state courts. 1262
