(CNS) - Felony charges were filed Tuesday against a woman who allegedly tried to snatch NFL legend Joe Montana's 9-month-old granddaughter from a Malibu home.Sodsai Predpring Dalzell, 39, is set to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon in a Van Nuys courtroom on charges of attempted kidnapping and first-degree residential burglary with a person present, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.Montana flagged down deputies from the sheriff's Lost Hills station about 5 p.m. Saturday. He told them his 9-month-old grandchild had been sleeping in a playpen in the living room when an unknown woman entered the home in the 22100 block of Pacific Coast Highway, removed the baby and walked upstairs with the child in her arms."Mr. Montana and his wife Jennifer confronted the female, attempted to de-escalate the situation and asked for the suspect to give back their grandchild. A tussle ensued, and Mrs. Montana was able to safely pry the child out of the suspect's arms," according to a sheriff's statement.Deputies found Dalzell nearby and arrested her. She's being held in lieu of 0,000 bail.The 64-year-old Montana tweeted about the incident Sunday afternoon, saying, "Thank you to everyone who has reached out. Two students are injured — one of which is in critical condition — after a school shooting took place Tuesday at Great Mills High School in southern Maryland.The gunman died following the attack according to police officials.Jonathan Freese, a student at Great Mills, told CNN he was in lockdown in his math class. Police were going through classrooms to clear the school, and students will then be escorted out of the school, Freese said."I'm still a little shaken up," he said.Freese said the school had held drills a couple of times for this kind of situation."I didn't really expect for this to happen. I do always feel safe, though, because they always have police at the school," he said.According to CNN's research, there have been 16 confirmed school shootings this year in the United States prior to today.  Great Mills High School has an enrollment of just over 1,500 students, and the student body was about 56% minority students and had a four-year graduation rate of 91%, according to the school's 2015-16 improvement plan.Last week, students at Great Mills High School walked out of class as part of a student-led protest against school violence in the wake of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.Al Murray shot video of police responding to the shooting at the high school Tuesday. TRENTON, Fla. — Two deputies in Trenton, Florida were killed in the line of duty on Thursday.Around 3 p.m., two Gilchrist County Deputy Sheriffs were shot and killed in the Ace China restaurant in downtown Trenton, after a suspect walked up to the business and shot both deputies through the window.According to the Sheriff’s Office, when fellow deputies responded to the scene, they found the shooter deceased outside the business and Sgt. Noel Ramirez, 30, and Deputy Taylor Lindsay, 25, deceased inside."At this point, it remains an active criminal investigation with no apparent motive or indications as to why this tragedy occurred," the Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office wrote in a press release.Officials from the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the State Attorney’s Office have all responded to the area to assist.Ace China restaurant is located on East Wade Street in Trenton, Florida, just off SR-26. (KGTV) — Police in the South Bay area searching for a missing man who may have walked away from an assisted living home.David Ennis, 90, is believed to have walked away from the home on G Street just before 7 a.m. Friday, according to Chula Vista Police. Ennis suffers from dementia and is not familiar with the area, police added. Because of that and the cold weather, Ennis is considered at-risk.The man is described as Caucasian, six-feet tall, clean shaven, and with balding gray hair. He is known to walk with a cane, hunched-over. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hat, navy blue jacket, and gray sweatpants. TULSA, Okla. - Archaeologists said during a press conference on Tuesday that they have encountered human remains on day two of the second test excavation as they search for victims of the 1921 Tulsa race massacre. Archaeologists said they do not know if the remains are from 1921 or not. I am very grateful to have the foremost experts in the country working to locate the remains of victims from the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. Today, our research team found an unmarked grave in an area previously identified through geophysical survey work. The next step will be to identify if the remains are associated with the Tulsa Race Massacre. This will be done through forensic analysis of the remains, and by comparing them with funeral home and death certificate records. We will continue to take this investigation one step at a time, wherever it may lead.Researchers said the investigation is expected to last one week but could extend into a second week, depending on the findings.The archaeologists are focusing on two areas in Oaklawn Cemetery this time around.The first site is adjacent to two 1921 race massacre headstones in the historically Black section of Potters Field; the second is a new dig site located on the Southwest section of the cemetery.In 2018, Mayor Bynum announced the City of Tulsa would re-examine potential graves from the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. That investigation began in 2020 with crews conducting their search along the western edge of the cemetery. Archaeologists conducted extensive test excavations and concluded with no evidence of human remains.However, the search could continue beyond Oaklawn Cemetery. Researchers said several areas are still candidates for possible mass grave sites related to the 1921 Tulsa race massacre.
