Searching for a home can be exciting, and frustrating, at the same time. Now, a San Diego realtor is aiming to take the headache -- and heartache -- out of finding a new piece of property in San Diego.Realtor Lauren Taylor said people know within the first two minutes of entering a home whether they're interested or not. "So it really doesn't make sense for a homebuyer to visit a property they haven't experienced on video yet," she said. Taylor launched Savvy Homes Portal, a tool that helps realtors shoot at 360 degree virtual walkthrough of homes on the market. That prospective buyer slides their smartphone into any virtual reality headset, and gets a guided tour by their own agent. Taylor said that could solve the issue of properties not living up to the highly edited photos in their online listings."A lot of our homebuyers started t say, this is not the house I saw online," she said. Taylor says about 30 agents have signed up for the service, which is free for homebuyers. SAN YSIDRO (CNS) - A 32-year-old man was wounded in a shooting early Wednesday morning in a San Ysidro parking lot, police said.It happened shortly after 3:45 a.m. on East Beyer Boulevard, north of Camino De La Plaza, San Diego police Officer Tony Martinez said.The victim had parked his vehicle in a public parking lot, then entered Mexico on foot through a pedestrian crossing, Martinez said. After the 32-year-old man returned from Mexico, a man confronted him and pointed a gun at him as he was getting into his vehicle."(The victim) ignored the suspect and the suspect shot at him numerous times," the officer said. "One of the bullets struck the front windshield of the vehicle and struck (the victim) in the chest."The victim called 911 and was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening, Martinez said. The gunman fled the area on foot.The suspected gunman was described as a 6-foot Latino in his 30s, about 200 pounds, with a bald head and a goatee. SAN YSIDRO, Calif. -- The Department of Defense announced Monday that it plans to move an additional 300 troops to the California border, according to ABC News.The announcement was made after hundreds of migrants rushed the border in a show of force, causing the San Ysidro port of entry to close for hours.The troops were assigned to the Texas and Arizona borders, a spokesperson for US Northern Command tells ABC News.The decision was reached following an assessment by US Customs and Border Protection after the 500 migrants rushed the border.The majority of the 300 troops will be Military Police units as well as engineers. There are now 5,600 troops at the southern border in support of CBP, 1,800 of those are in California. 744
