The pledge was made by visiting Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who acted as special envoy for new Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, in his meeting with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Beijing.
Xi made the remarks in a congratulatory letter to the 2016 Media Cooperation Forum on the Belt and Road, which opened in Beijing Tuesday.
"China is willing to work with its partners to promote regional economic integration to boost the region's economic prosperity and global economic growth," said Gao.
