for setting an illegal trap in Missoula, Montana, that killed a young dog.Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks regional supervisor Randy Arnold says the illegal trap was set near the Clark Fork River off of Hiberta Street.A family with their dog were recreating in that area on Sunday, when their 17-month old dog was caught in the trap and died. The two men were cited with state charges; one count of failure to appropriately mark the trap and one count of an illegal ground set. YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. — Rock climber Emily Harrington has become the first woman, and fourth person, to free-climb the Golden Gate route on Yosemite National Park’s granite wall in a single day.The 34-year-old began to scale 3,000-foot El Capitan early Wednesday.The San Francisco Chronicle says Harrington reached the top in 21 hours, 13 minutes and 51 seconds, despite banging her head on the granite wall at one point.Free climbers don't use ropes to ascend, only to catch them if they fall.Harrington posted about her accomplishment on Instagram over the weekend.“I never believed I could actually free climb El Cap in a day when I first set the goal for myself,” she wrote in a caption. “It didn’t seem like a realistic objective for me. I didn’t have the skills, fitness, or risk profile to move so quickly over such a large piece of stone. But I chose it exactly for that reason. After serving time in jail the past three and a half months, Montanez said she gave him a second chance to get his act together. WFTX reached out to the State Attorney's Office and Cape Coral police to try and get confirmation that this phone call happened Monday. They said they are looking into it but can't yet confirm Montanez's account. Authorities said they won't be able to release what is said in any of Wilson's phone calls from jail because it's still an active investigation.
