Xi pointed out that the relations between the two countries maintain a good momentum of development, and consensuses of the two leaders have been gradually implemented.
"We must strive to preserve China's status as a major destination for foreign investment. Opening-up has driven China's reform endeavors in the past 40 years. Foreign-invested enterprises have been a significant contributor to Chinese exports. More importantly, they have brought to China industrial and value chains, and spurred corporate reform and innovation," Li said.
"The (maritime and air) liaison mechanism is very important for managing disputes on the East China Sea and preventing accidental clashes," he said.
The prime minister said that maintaining frequent high-level exchanges and strategic communications between India and China is conducive to enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation, which is in line with the common interests of development and prosperity of the two countries and the region. India is willing to work with China to this end, he said.
The initiative, or the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, proposed by China in 2013, has become a key platform for creating a community with a shared future for humanity.
