MANHATTAN, N.Y. — Police took an alleged attempted rapist into custody Sunday after a Saturday morning assault inside a Manhattan subway station, authorities said.The woman, who was headed home from work, was followed off the train and onto the Q train platform at the Lexington Avenue–63rd Street station around 11 a.m. Saturday, NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said. Jose Reyes allegedly pushed the 25-year-old woman to the ground and tried to rape her."It's a heinous act," Harrison said. "It's horrible." Bystanders on the platform rushed over to intervene, and Reyes alllegedly stopped the attack, according to police.A witness took cellphone video of the suspect before he fled the station.The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention at the scene, police said.Reyes had been spotted smoking hookah before the alleged attack, Harrison said. He allegedly had several narcotics in his possession. McDonald's is investing billion into their fast-food chains. Franchises across the country will be getting a new modern, high-tech look. The fast-food mogul says these updates will enhance the guest experience. Not only is it great for business, but it's great for communities. Franchise operator Laura Bucar says in her 40 years of doing business, McDonald's has never invested this much money into it's existing chains. "When we decide to move on anything, what that creates for the community, as far as jobs and resources, is incredible,” says Bucar. In order to create an incredible experience, McDonald's is investing millions of dollars into nearly every state to update their restaurants.“We just finished ours in July, and I can’t tell you how many electricians and plumbers locally that were sourced to come in, and even digital and technical people and so it really adds to the economy,” says Bucar.Each fast food restaurant is able to customize their artwork inside. Bucar is excited to give visibility to local artists. Not only is McDonald's offering jobs in the community for construction workers, but they are also adding a handful of positions inside their restaurants, too. LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — A new national poll from The New York Times and Siena College shows that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has a nine-point lead over President Donald Trump.According to the poll that was released Tuesday morning, Biden leads Trump 50% to 41% among likely voters. That's a slight increase from a month ago when Biden led Trump 49% to 41% among likely voters."When we look at the presidential race nationally — not battleground states and the Electoral College — it is clear that despite the first presidential debate, a presidential coronavirus diagnosis and hospitalization and many other events, little has changed in the dynamics of the race, Dr. Don Levy, the director of Siena College's Research Institute. "Biden has a nine-point lead, right at 50%, up from eight points last month. He continues to have a positive favorability rating, as Trump's continues to be negative."While comfortably ahead in national polls, the 2020 presidential race will be decided by a series of key battleground states. Trump won the 2016 election despite losing the popular vote to Hillary Clinton 46% to 48%.According to the poll, nearly one-third of voters have already cast their ballots. The poll found that 38% of Democrats have already voted, while 34% of independents cast their ballots, adding that only 20% of Republicans voted early."Nearly one-third of those likely to vote in the presidential election have already voted. Democrats and independents are much more likely than Republicans to have already voted at this point. Among the remainder of likely voters, half plan to vote in person on election day, one-quarter plan to vote in person before election day and one-quarter plan to vote by mail," Levy said."Among the 31 percent who have already voted, they support Biden by a huge 67-26 percent margin," Levy said.
