Police say 49-year-old Lusean Arline was arrested November 4th in connection with the alleged October 27th sexual assault at the Balboa Nursing & Rehab Center on Fourth Ave.Prosecutors say Arline entered the nursing home, possibly through an unlocked door, around 3 that morning and was found completely nude on top of the victim in her bed. But a program through Feeding San Diego is working to make sure every kid has the "Fuel for Summer" they need."It's both heartwarming and heartbreaking," says Feeding San Diego CEO Vince Hall. "That summer meal we're able to provide is probably the first meal that they've had of the day."1 in 6 children in San Diego faces hunger and food insecurity. The Fuel for Summer program provides meals that follow all federal nutritional guidelines. They include a protein, side, vegetable, fruit and healthy drink. Often, Hall says, they're introducing kids to foods they don't get on a regular basis."I went to one of the meals last summer," says Hall with a smile. "There were kids who'd never had a tamale, and had to be instructed on how to eat a tamale, and then they thought they were absolutely delicious."The Fuel for Summer program has 16 sites, some feed as many as 200 kids every day. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A motorist was injured Wednesday night after his motorcycle collided with a trash truck in Serra Mesa.According to San Diego Police, the crash happened around 6:13 p.m at Larkdale Avenue and Murray Ridge Road.The circumstances surrounding the crash are still unclear, but officers say that, following the crash, the motorcyclist was pinned under the truck.After the man was freed, he was taken to the hospital with major injuries to his legs.His condition is unclear at this time. 508

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego family is preparing to uproot their lives and move across the country so their 2-year-old son can get a life-altering liver transplant.After Gavin was born, Kendra and Vince Giacalone waited nearly two years for answers on what was wrong with their son.Eventually, through exome sequencing, they learned Gavin had a rare genetic disorder: GM3 Synthase Deficiency. He's missing an enzyme which helps with brain development.The family read online there was no treatment or medicine for their son but they refused to give up.After connecting with specialists they are now hopeful a liver transplant from Kendra's sister will replace the enzyme Gavin is missing.The family will move to Pittsburg for several months while Gavin gets the transplant.All transplant costs are being covered by the Children's Organ Transplant Association (COTA).The family is trying to raise ,000 for COTA in Gavin's name - 100 percent of donations will go to Gavin.You can also follow Gavin's Rare Journey on Facebook.  1041
