GUATAY, Calif. (KGTV) -- A family in the East County is hoping someone has information about a bicycle accident that happened Saturday afternoon in Guatay, just north of Pine Valley. Ann Larkin says her husband, Warren Larkin, was returning from a bike ride along old Highway 80, and was just feet away from his home, when a good Samaritan found him in the middle of the road. Larkin was airlifted to Sharp Memorial Hopsital with 10 broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a broken clavicle. He doesn't remember anything about the crash.Ann tells 10News she doesn't want to speculate but worries that someone hit her husband on his bike and took off, since hospital staff told her his injuries were more traumatic than just falling off a bike. The Larkin family is now hoping that by sharing their story, they can find someone who witnessed the accident and can provide clues about what happened. 899

HESPERIA, Calif. (KGTV) - Snow and ice created dangerous conditions for Southern California drivers on the ‘White Christmas’ Tuesday morning. In San Diego County, drivers spun out on icy roads in higher elevations, including Sunrise Highway on Mount Laguna.On Interstate 15, dozens of cars piled up on the northbound lanes in the high desert city of Hesperia, Victor Valley News reported. Mobile phone video showed a man yelling for people to leave the road, followed by the sounds of crashing cars. "As soon as I hit the top of the hill, it was ice, black ice. I crashed and everyone else around me was crashing too," Brian Bolik told Victor Valley News. "A car behind us went over the embankment and rolled." Bolik said he and another off-duty EMT heard a woman screaming in the pileup, VVN reported."I knew I needed to pull her out of the situation because the cars were just coming and coming, and then diesel trucks were also coming fast and she couldn't get out," stated Bolik. "She had a broken leg. At the time I didn't think about getting hit by other cars, I just wanted to help the lady to safety," Bolik told VVN. George Papadopoulos, the former Trump campaign adviser who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI, is making his first appearance testifying on Capitol Hill later this month.Papadopoulos is expected to testify behind closed doors before a small group of lawmakers on the House Judiciary and Oversight committees on October 25, according to two sources familiar with the matter.The interview is part of Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte and Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy's investigation into the FBI's handling of the Hillary Clinton email and Russia investigations, although Democrats are likely to press the former Trump foreign policy adviser on potential Russia collusion, too.Papadopoulos has also been in discussions with the Senate Intelligence Committee for an interview, according to one of the sources. And California Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, has expressed a desire to speak to Papadopoulos as part of his investigation into potential collusion between Trump's team and Russia.
