BUFFALO, N.Y. — It's chicken nuggets and soft pretzels on the menu at South Buffalo Charter School, but suspension is being served for some lunchroom workers. Three are seen in pictures, posted on a fourth worker's public Instagram account. They are posing on a prep table in the school cafeteria. One of the pictures shows a woman on her knees, with her feet on the table, and a peeled banana held in a phallic position. The woman who took the pictures told 7 Eyewitness News I-Team reporter Ed Drantch, "it was a joke."The pictures were anything but a joke for Dave Cervi, President of Personal Touch Food Service, a third-party vendor that is hired by the school for food service."I can't believe anyone that works in a school, with children, would even consider doing something like that. It was horrifying to us," Cervi said.Personal Touch has been under contract with South Buffalo Charter School for five years.Cervi says this is the first time he's ever dealt with something like this. He says he had the four employees surrender their school ID tags to Principal David Ehrle, and walked out of the building."Everyone has an understanding, upon being hired, this is not the type of behavior you do in general, but certainly not at a school. We don't condone it and we're here to provide a safe environment for the students," Ehrle said.The woman who took these pictures has her own children enrolled at this school. Nearly 1,000 students are enrolled.The pictures were posted four days ago on the worker's public Instagram account.They have since been taken down and the account made private. That was only after the 7 Eyewitness News I-Team spoke to the worker on the phone and before she and her three co-workers were suspended.Personal Touch Food Service says they will not be back until at least next week, when the internal investigation is completed. 1884

Are you ready for fall? Dunkin' hopes you are ready as it announced on Monday that its pumpkin spice flavors will be available on Aug. 21. According to Dunkin', its stores will feature several new products: A Cinnamon Spice Pumpkin Spice Latte and Apple Cider Donuts and Munchkins donut holes. This is in addition to its lineup of pumpkin flavored coffees, pumpkin donuts and pumpkin muffins. Dunkin's release of the fall favorites might predate Starbucks' release. Starbucks, which hasn't officially announced when its pumpkin spice lattes will be available, generally makes its fall lineup available in late August. Dunkin' also announced that eight of its 12,900 locations will be converted into "Pumpkin" locations on Aug. 14. Those eight Pumpkin locations will be serving free coffee to hundreds of customers, and have pumpkin flavored products available a week early. As part of a National Park, the Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge in Williamson County, Tennessee is a beautiful architectural sight for many. But for some, it’s become a place of pain and grief.“I lost my sister, who was 25, to suicide at the bridge,” Sarah Elmer says.Trish Merelo shares Elmer's grief. She, too, lost a family member to suicide. “I lost my 17-year-old son,” she says.Now, Elmer and Merelo have come together over a mutual understanding of how it feels to lose somebody who has died by suicide.“Seeing what a young suicide does to a school, and to a community, and to a neighborhood, and to a family, it’s unimaginable grief,” Merelo says. Merelo’s son, John, was a senior in high school. He was academically gifted and in marching band. His mom describes him as somebody whose heart would make a difference in this world.Elmer’s sister, Danielle, was a mother of two. Elmer describes her sister as smart, caring, and a big mental health advocate.“Now that’s she’s gone, I just don’t have my other half,” she says. The two women are now doing everything they can to prevent other families from feeling the same sorrow. Together, they’ve formed the Natchez Trace Bridge Barrier Coalition.“Ultimately, what stops bridge suicides is a physical structure,” Merelo says. Their goal is to create an 8-foot barrier on the bridge, so it’s not so easy for someone to jump. Until then, they’re thankful for the new call boxes that were recently planted on the bridge by the National Park Service. The call boxes offer a direct line to 911 and the Tennessee crisis number.“I think the crisis line is more for someone who is in that place and needs that counseling," Merelo says. "I think 911 is for them too, but that’s also for bystanders who see someone in trouble and want to get authorities here."With barely any cell service in the area, the women say the call boxes are essential, and they hope they’ll make a big difference for people in need. “If that call box saves one life, then it is worth it,” Elmer says. Letting somebody know they’re loved and cared for is a critical message everyone needs to hear. On the Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge, you can pick up the phone for support. But what if you were walking along, and you came across a mental-health first-aid kit? What if you had something you could physically hold onto? That’s where 2363

In Newark, New Jerseys, dozens of Black Lives Matter protesters joined in a dance of the famous dance song “Cupid Shuffle” on Saturday.
