California officials say regional ICU capacity is calculated based on the total number of adult ICU beds minus neonatal and pediatric ICU beds. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Crews battled flames from two house fires that sprang up overnight in San Diego.The first fire was reported in City Heights at about 3 a.m. Crews responded to a home in the 4000 block of 42nd Street engulfed in flames.One person made it out of the home safely and surrounding neighbors were temporarily evacuated as a precaution. Neighbors say the homeowner was not inside when the fire broke out. It took about 30 minutes to knock the fire down and no injuries were reported.San Diego Fire Department said Metro Arson Strike Team determined the fire was intentionally set. The blaze caused an estimated 0,000 in total damages.No arrests have been made.Fire crews also doused a fire in Encanto at an abandoned home near 66th St. and Madera St. The home's doors and windows were boarded up and transients frequented the property, according to fire crews.No injuries were reported in that fire as well. 955

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Another child has been diagnosed with E. Coli linked to animals at the San Diego County Fair, San Diego Health and Human Services officials reported Tuesday. The latest case involves a 6-year-old boy who visited animals at the fair on June 22, officials said. The boy began showing symptoms of Shiga-toxin-producing E. Coli (STEC) four days later. He was not hospitalized. 2-year-old Jedediah Cabezuela died of the illness and three other children were sickened by E. Coli, fair organizers said Friday.RELATED: Family mourns toddler dead after E. Since we asked doctors to be on the lookout for STEC, they are more likely to test patients exhibiting symptoms.” E. Coli can incubate over a period of 10 days. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Cat Kom spent Tuesday morning leading Studio Sweat’s spin and sculpt fusion class, a half-hour of spin, and a half-hour of strength.“It is hard but it feels so good,” Kom said after the session.The other thing adding to her jubilance: the fact that she could finally open her boutique gym's new location in Rancho Bernardo.She said it seems like a long time coming.Kom’s outlook was a lot different when she first spoke to 10News in April in the midst of the coronavirus shut down.She couldn't open her new gym, was still paying rent for the old 4S Ranch location, and, like many small business owners, was shut out from a federal stimulus Paycheck Protection Program loan.“We didn't lay a single person off,” she said at the time. “That was our plan and that's what we hoped to do. Now we're kind of going, oh my gosh I might have to lay people off.”Fast forward to Tuesday.
