TAIPEI, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan's political observers have warmly welcomed the Singapore meeting between Xi Jinping and Ma Ying-jeou on Saturday, expecting the meeting to help settle disputes and bring improvement of cross-Strait ties.
"They'll support each other, do events jointly, and expand their collaboration. This will be for a common good," said Kantha.
The Chinese president reiterated his country's path of peaceful development and good-neighborly policy, saying China is willing to cooperate with Singapore and other Asian countries to achieve common development.
"It has given a strong impetus to bilateral relations in all fields," the ambassador added.
He expressed gratitude for China's assistance in launching the satellite, Lao Sat-1, and underscored the importance of the construction of the China-Laos railway project.
