US President Donald Trump seemed to revive hopes for a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un next month, telling reporters at the Oval Office late Saturday, "we're looking at June 12th in Singapore. That hasn't changed."His remarks came as South Korean President Moon Jae-in delivered his first public comments since a surprise meeting with the North Korean leader on Saturday, saying Kim was still committed to denuclearization."What is unclear to Chairman Kim Jong Un is not the will for denuclearization, but the concern that if (North Korea) denuclearizes, whether the US can end hostile relations and guarantee the security of the (Kim) regime," Moon said.On Thursday, Trump abruptly canceled the highly-anticipated US-North Korea summit, scheduled for June 12, citing hostile comments from top North Korean officials and concern about the country's commitment to giving up its nuclear weapons. 923

Two Tennessee lawmakers have proposed a bill that would end child marriage in Tennessee.According to a press release Monday, the bill would make marriage age 18 and up – with no exceptions.The bills are sponsored by Sen. Jeff Yarbro and Rep. Darren Jernigan.According to the Pew Research Center, Tennessee is tied for the 6th-highest rate of child marriage.The current law allows 16 and 17-year-olds to marry when parents join in the marriage license application. Judges or county mayors may also approve marriages of people younger than 16, with no minimum age, according to a release.  "Current Tennessee law, would allow either a county elected official or a county judge to approve a marriage for a 15 year old, 14 year old, 9 year old," said Sen. Yarbo. "We think that is relatively insane."The founder of Unchained At Last, Fraidy Reiss, also claimed girls as young as 10 years old were married to men in their 20s in Tennessee. The organization collected marriage license data from 38 states and found that Tennessee has married thousands of children.  1097

UPDATE: The fire was 100 percent contained at 250 acres by Friday at 6:20 p.m. All lanes of SR-78 reopened by 5 p.m.RAMONA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Crews Thursday stopped the forward rate of spread of the Rangeland Fire burning in the Pasqual Valley near Ramona. The blaze started along San Pasqual Valley Road around 1 p.m. near the San Dieguito River Trail and quickly grew to 250 acres. The fire is 60 percent contained. The eastbound lanes on State Route 78 closed at Bandy Canyon Road due to the fire, but are expected to reopen by 10 p.m. The 78 will be down to one lane on Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.  Highland Valley Road was also closed between Bandy Canyon and Archie Moore Road due to a big rig that was stuck on the road.  803

Read more about the case in the Team 10 report below. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A local doctor is accused of sexually assaulting patients who were under anesthesia. In an exclusive interview, 10News investigative reporter Jennifer Kastner spoke to a former patient who says he was abused. She also sat down with the accused doctor for an interview. The doctor was cleared to return to work and denies any abuse.Edward Braun of Alpine is the former patient. He says he found out when Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest called him and said that a nurse had reported the allegations. “I’m sad. I can't believe somebody would do this,” Braun tells 10News. Braun details the day he got the life-changing call from Scripps Mercy, notifying him that he may have been sexually assaulted by his anesthesiologist, Dr. Robert Stephens, while Braun was under anesthesia for surgery. “I was stunned. I was shaking,” he adds. “What I was accused of never happened,” Dr. Stephens tells 10News. He says he doesn't even remember Braun's surgery. “Given that I've done 5,000 plus surgeries, only the remarkable ones stand out and that entire day was thoroughly unremarkable,” he adds. However, it doesn't end with that day and that patient. The allegations are from 2017 and are detailed in a report published by the California Department of Public Health. In the report, three nurses came forward, and mentioned multiple patients. One nurse claimed to have witnessed the anesthesiologist's hand "underneath the sheets on four other occasions" when patients were "under general anesthesia". The report reveals that the nurse who allegedly witnessed Braun's assault claimed that the doctor's hand was under Braun's blanket, by Braun's groin. “She tried to pull the blanket off and he pulled it back and then she yanked it off and saw what he was doing,” says Braun. “I was still under anesthesia, unconscious when it happened,” he adds. “I have never been inappropriate with any of my patients, nor would I ever be,” says Dr. Stephens. We ask, “Why would three nurses falsely accuse you of something so egregious?” “It's speculation and I don't want to speculate. I don't see any benefit of me speculating in that respect,” he responds. According to the state report, the doctor said he sometimes may have had his hand "under the drapes" to "check EKG leads" and "monitor leads". In the report, it appears the nurses were the ones who got in trouble for not immediately and appropriately reporting what they allegedly witnessed. However, there's no mention of any corrective action for the doctor. “[The nurses] report something and they get reprimanded for it? That's not right,” Braun tells us. The hospital sent 10News the following statement: “Patient safety is a top priority at Scripps. While we are unable to comment on pending litigation, we can share that following allegations of improper conduct, the Medical Staffs of Scripps Mercy Hospital, Scripps Green Hospital and Scripps Memorial Hospital, Encinitas suspended Robert Stephens, M.D., and initiated a hearing before an arbitrator. After five full-day evidentiary sessions, the arbitrator found that, while the initial action was reasonable, the suspension was no longer reasonable and Dr. Stephens should be permitted to return to work. Subsequently, the parties reached a confidential agreement. After the agreement was reached, Dr. Stephens voluntarily resigned his Scripps Medical staff memberships and all clinical privileges.” Dr. Stephens says the arbitrator reviewed all the records and witness testimony. “[The arbitrator] ruled that not only was their story changing on that side but that their witnesses were not credible [and] their witnesses were not believable [and] I was credible and honest,” he explains.San Diego Police have an active criminal investigation, according to a Deputy District Attorney who's involved in the case. That DA confirmed that prosecutors have fought all the way up to the California Supreme Court to get records from Scripps Mercy Hospital, but have so far been unsuccessful. The DA agreed that his office is putting up a more aggressive fight than what's typical, but he wouldn't comment further about why. “I put my life in this guy's hands to take care of me and he abused his power,” says Braun. Last month, Braun sued Dr. Stephens, Scripps Health and Anesthesia Service Medical Group for assault, battery and negligence, among other complaints. Anesthesia Service Medical Group is Dr. Stephens’ former employer. It sent 10News the following statement: “ASMG was shocked and saddened to learn of the allegations made against Dr. Robert Stephens, a former employee of ASMG. From the moment ASMG learned of these allegations, Dr. Stephens has not provided care to any ASMG patients. Dr. Stephens was hired after very extensive background and credentialing checks, and up until the time these accusations were made, there was nothing to indicate that Dr. Stephens might present a risk to patients. ASMG is committed to hiring only those physicians who will provide the highest level of patient care, and will aggressively defend itself against any claim that it negligently hired or negligently employed Dr. Stephens.” “The initial allegations are very catchy and they do pack a punch but they aren't the truth,” says Stephens. The other patients who may have been affected don't know it. According to the state report, they couldn't be identified. (KGTV) — A crash victim is hoping to track down the roadside "angel" who went above and beyond.On Friday afternoon just east of the I-15 on Old Castle Road in Valley Center, Sarah Rozenko says she was in her Volvo sedan, driving back from the grocery store and squarely in her lane. "It was like being hit with a dump truck full force," said Rozenko.It wasn't a dump truck, but a car, that hit the side of her car. It sent her spinning into a rocky embankment. She climbed out, bruised and dazed."She came out of nowhere and pulled up," said Rozenko.'She' was a passerby who told Rozenko she was an EMT. The woman, believed in her 40s or 50s, can be seen her in a photo snapped by Rozenko of the crash scene."Immediately took over calming me down, checking me out. Took over phone conversation with 9-1-1, as I was so shook up. She covered me with a blanket," said Rozenko.Rozeno says in her shock, she kept telling the woman about the surprise dinner she had planned for her husband. The stranger listened, and calmed her down."Just reassuring. I believe I would have had a panic attack had she not been there," said Rozenko.About 15 minutes after the stranger arrived, so did the firefighters and paramedics. There was a hurried exchange. "She yelled, 'What's your address?' as I am being loaded into the ambulance. I shouted it to her," said Rozenko.Some nine hours later, after Rozenko returned home from the hospital, she learned the mystery woman had collected her belongings from the car - along with all the groceries - and dropped it all off at her home with her landlord. "I was blown away. It's not every day that somebody goes out of their way to do something for you. She's my road accident angel for sure," said Rozenko.Now she's on a mission to find her angel."I really want to thank you thank you, thank you, thank you.
