NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) -- Police in National City are asking for the public’s help finding a suspect accused of killing a 26-year-old man near a National City 7-Eleven.Police say Onan Loaiza was shot and killed on the 800 block of Eta Street around 11 a.m. on March 27.Police say one suspect, Robert Allen Garduno, 27, was arrested for the murder, but another suspect is still on the loose.RELATED: Deadly shooting near 7-Eleven in National City may have been sparked by fight, police say?According to detectives, Loaiza was walking home after reportedly getting into a fight at the Mex Mart when a vehicle pulled up next to him.Authorities say a man got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and shot and killed Loaiza.Anyone with information is asked to call the National City Police Department at 619-336-4411 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.Crime Stoppers is offering up to a ,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.RELATED: Man dies after shooting near National City 7-Eleven The shooting was the first of two to happen near the same location. On April 8, police were called to the same area after they say another man was shot and killed on the 100 block of North Highland Avenue.Police haven't named the victim or suspect in that homicide.  1299

(KGTV) The deals on Friday were not good enough for a pair of thieves.National City Police are looking for two men they believe held up a cellphone store on Black Friday.Police say two armed walked into a Verizon store on East Plaza Blvd around 11 a.m. brandishing guns.The men demanded the employees and customer put their faces on the on the ground while the two placed items in a bag.One witness says the thieves told them if they looked at their faces they would shoot them.At least 20 iPhones, 0 cash and the store managers gold chain were stolen for a total haul of roughly ,000 dollars.A suspect description has not been released but one of the thieves was reported having a a beard that jutted out from the bottom of his ski mask.A Verizon store in Lemon Grove was robbed recently by two men matching their description. 863

NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) -- A family in National City says Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) violated their rights during an arrest on Tuesday morning.  Brianna Alonso says her husband was heading to work when he saw ICE agents and ran back into his house. A spokesperson for ICE tells 10News 31-year-old Alberto Alonso-Hernandez is wanted for illegally re-entering the country 16 times since 2013 and for a domestic violence conviction in 2014.His wife disputes ICE's numbers. She says her husband was deported twice before Tuesday's arrest. She's upset because she says ICE agents never showed them a warrant before entering. Brianna says the agents gave her the warrant after her husband was in custody. However, according to a criminal attorney, ICE was just doing their job. Exercising the "no-knock" rule, where the officers do not have to show the warrant if they have probable cause that the suspect will get away or destroy possible evidence. ICE sent us the following statements regarding Tuesday's arrest:  1082

Nearly 800 nurses were on a picket line Tuesday in Pennsylvania. The nurses work at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, near Philadelphia, and they say they are walking off the job to fight for their patients.At issue is the hospital’s contract with the nurse’s union. The nurses want a new contract with higher wages and safeguards for patient safety.The nurses say they are caring for more patients during the coronavirus pandemic than they should, and that is putting patients at risk.“Safe staffing is the main issue in our negotiation--it's why we organized last year in the first place,” says Kathy McKamey R.N., who works on St Mary's MG2 unit and has been at the hospital for 10 years, said in a statement provided by the union.The hospital’s owner, Trinity Health, said the union rejected a contract last week that included higher wages.Hospitals in the Philadelphia area told the Philadelphia Inquirer that they would hire replacement nurses to work if the union goes on strike."We respect the union members’ right to strike, and we remain committed to negotiating in good faith to reach agreement on a fair, consistent and sustainable initial contract for St. Mary nurses. Montgomery County, Maryland Police reported Laura Wallen, a pregnant high school teacher who went missing last week, has been found dead. According to Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger, Wallen's body was found in a wooded area in Damascus, Maryland. Police have arrested her boyfriend, Tyler Tessier.Tessier was present with Wallen's family during a press conference on Monday. Police had already identified him as a person of interest in the case. Detectives asked the family to invite him to speak as part of the investigation. During the press conference, Tessier pleaded for Wallen to come home."There's so many people, so people that miss you," he said Monday. "There's so many people that were out looking. We haven't slept, we haven't eaten. We're just looking and praying that you're safe and I'm asking that you can just let us know that you're safe."Police have not determined a motive in the case, though during Wednesday's update, police said Tessier was living at several addresses, including one in Damascus.  1079
