BALTIMORE — Sixteen more dead dogs have been found on the property of a sewage-infested home where just days ago dozens of more dogs were recovered.The Carroll County Humane Society says a search warrant was executed on Monday at the home in Hampstead, Maryland. An employee in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives headquarters building Thursday opened a package that contained a liquid substance and the employee said she felt sick right after opening it, according to law enforcement officials.It is not clear what the substance is, one of the officials told CNN. The mail is screened off site so it is unclear if this package was delivered some other way or if it made it through screening, said one official.The headquarters in Washington, DC, was evacuated after the suspicious package was discovered.A HAZMAT crew responded to the scene and left the building shortly before 4:40 p.m. Thursday, according to April Langwell, the head of ATF Public Affairs.Langwell said that the field test of the substance is "clear" and they are sending the substance that was found in an envelope opened by an employee to a lab for further analysis. Briscoe Cain went to Facebook after seeing a homework assignment regarding U.S. President Donald Trump.The lesson was teaching 7th-grade students how to inference using 10 student-written essays at Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District. The assignment required students to read an excerpt from "Trump Against American Values" by Parker, and then answer the questions that followed. The first question asked, "Which of the following conclusions would the author most likely agree with?" The answer to the questions was, "Donald Trump should not be president."The second question asked what the reader would infer from reading the passage. The answer being, "Mexican Americans are the major group upset with President Trump."Cain said in his Facebook post that the superintendent of the district, Randal O'Brien, is aware of the issue and has taken corrective action. "It is our understanding the [sic] he and his administration have done all that state law allows them to do at this time," Cain said. "Superintendent O’Brien is and remains the right man for the job."Cain was made aware of the post by Chris Felder, a concerned parent at the school. “This was an assignment my 7th grade daughter received that I found to be very out of place to say the least," Felder commented, according to Cain's post. "This type of non-factual rhetoric has no place in our schools regardless of who the president is. My children have experienced great teachers in the classroom, but have also had to put up with those who see their role as indoctrinators, not educators. As all corporate owned Planet Fitness locations closed last night, the largest chain of gyms in the US said it is offering free workouts on its Facebook page. Planet Fitness said that the workouts will air live Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. ET and are no longer than 20 minutes long. Planet Fitness said that no equipment is required. Planet Fitness added that its smartphone app has hundreds of at-home workouts. The company said that its corporate owned locations will be closed through the end of the month, and that it recommends its franchises follow suit.
