Former Trump presidential campaign chairman Paul Manafort was sentenced to 47 months in federal prison after having a plea bargain revoked after Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team claimed Manafort was not cooperative with Mueller's investigation. Mueller's team asked for 19-25 years. Manafort's sentence is the longest so far handed down by a judge during Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling into 2016 election. On Aug. 21, Manafort was found guilty on eight federal charges, while a judge declared a mistrial on 10 other criminal counts. The charges claims Manafort was guilty of conspiracy to defraud the United States, money laundering, failing to register as a foreign lobbyist, making false statements to investigators, and witness tampering, the Washington Post reported. He then pleaded guilty to two charges of conspiracy in another federal court. He will be sentenced for those crimes next week. Last month, a federal judge agreed with Mueller that Manafort had violated his plea agreement. Manafort has already spent nine months behind bars. 1077

Four Michigan teens who pleaded guilty to throwing a rock off a highway overpass that killed a man were sentenced as adults in a Michigan courtroom on Tuesday.They were ages 15 to 17 when they threw rocks onto I-75 in October 2017 in Genesee County. They called it "overpassing." A six-pound rock went through the windshield of 32-year-old Kenneth White's car as he was driving, killing him. The teens were initially charged with charged with second-degree murder but pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter. Following the March 31 death of musician Nipsey Hussle, a Los Angeles grand jury returned a murder indictment against Eric Ronald Holder Jr., 29, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced on Tuesday.Holder's indictment includes one count of murder, two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. The district attorney's office said Holder is accused of fatally shooting Hussle, also known as Ermias Asghedom, outside of his clothing store in Los Angeles. Two others were wounded during the March incident.
