A hack was detected earlier this month in a government computer system that works alongside HealthCare.gov, exposing the personal information of approximately 75,000 people, according to the agency in charge of the portal.In a statement to CNN, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) said the system that was exposed through the hack was the Direct Enrollment pathway, which allows agents and brokers to assist consumers with applications for coverage in the Federally Facilitated Exchanges, or FFE. The statement detailed that the agent and broker accounts that were associated with the hack were "deactivated, and -- out of an abundance of caution -- the Direct Enrollment pathway for agents and brokers was disabled.""We are working to get this functionality that exchanges agents and brokers use back up within seven days," a representative for CMS told CNN. A Dearborn Heights police officer is the focus of a viral video, which appears to show him sleeping behind the wheel of his cruiser.Dearborn Heights Chief of Police Lee Gavin has confirmed that an internal investigation will take place. Sources confirm the video was shot by a citizen last Wednesday. They also say it’s not the first time the officer has been spotted snoozing.Citizens have said they are disappointed and stunned to see the video. Some are also concerned about the health and safety of the officer. “It’s bad. Without knowing all the details, yes it’s dangerous,” former Detroit Police Asst. A controversial sanctuary city bill will become law in Tennessee without Governor Bill Haslam's signature. State lawmakers overwhelmingly passed HB2315, which prohibits cities and counties from adopting policies that would protect undocumented immigrants from federal agents. Haslam said Monday that the bill has created a lot of unnecessary fear in the state and doesn’t change the way the state deals with federal immigration agencies. When was asked why he wouldn’t veto the bill, Haslam said it’s because it would just prolong the discussion, adding there aren't currently have any sanctuary cities in Tennessee. The so-called sanctuary city bill requires law enforcement officials to comply with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement rules, including detainer requests.   837

A farm in Indiana is recalling more than 200 million eggs sold in nine states over salmonella fears.Rose Acre Farms voluntarily recalled 206,749,248 eggs due to potential contamination with Salmonella Braenderup, the Food and Drug Administration said in a statement.At least 22 illnesses have been reported so far, the FDA said Friday.The eggs were sold through retail stores and restaurants. They reached consumers in Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia."Consumers with these eggs shouldn't eat them," FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb tweeted. "Throw them away or return them to place of purchase for credit or refund."Brands affected include Country Daybreak, Coburn Farms, Crystal Farms, Sunshine Farms and Glenview, with some eggs sold at Walmart and Food Lion stores.Salmonella causes serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems.
