A 6.4 magnitude earthquake shook parts of Southern California on Thursday, with the earthquake being felt in the Los Angeles area. The earthquake's epicenter was 11 miles from Ridgecrest, California, which is just west of the Mojave Desert. The USGS said the earthquake's epicenter was 90 miles from Bakersfield, California, and 120 miles from Los Angeles. The USGS warned that a number of aftershocks are likely in the region. The USGS added that there is a 5% chance that an even larger earthquake could hit in the coming hours or days. The earthquake was reportedly felt all along the Southern California coast. The earthquake was also reportedly felt in Las Vegas. The Los Angeles Police said that there have been no reports within the city of damage or injuries. Closer to the epicenter, first responders have been dispatched. Kern County, California's fire department said it is working nearly 2 dozens incidents ranging from medical assistance to structure fires in and around the city of Ridgecrest, CA.At a 6.4 magnitude, the earthquake would mark the strongest to strike California since 2010. A judge has granted New England Patriot's owner Robert Kraft's motion to suppress surveillance video recorded in the charges of alleged prostitution against him, dealing a major blow to prosecutors in the case. Kraft faces two counts of soliciting prostitution after allegedly visiting the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter in January. In the order issued Monday, a judge wrote that Kraft had a "reasonable, subjective expectation of privacy, as would anyone seeking a private massage in a commercial or professional setting" in support of suppressing the video. The judge also suppressed all information obtained from the traffic stop involving Kraft in January. The State Attorney's Office can appeal this order. In addition, the Jupiter Police Department released hundreds of pages of evidence Monday into the investigation of alleged prostitution at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa. Records released show that as a result of the investigation, law enforcement seized and deposited more than a half-million dollars into a Wells Fargo bank account. Officials seized all of those funds after executing search warrants in Jupiter as well as Martin County and Orange County. The filings show that "covert surveillance video" and "body worn camera" videos are the main pieces of evidence gathered against the alleged "johns" in the case, including Kraft. Law enforcement collected an array of evidence against Hua Zhang and Lei Wang, two of the alleged "madams" in the case. The list of evidence spans several pages for both, and includes "0,000 in US currency," "documents obtained from trash pull," "paper napkins with seminal fluid" and receipts to the business. Both Zhang and Wang are facing multiple felonies as a result of the investigation. Records released Monday also show Hua Zhang bought the spa in 2009. According to Zhang's son, she purchased the day spa after working there as an employee. Several officers were involved "tactical ruse" used to install the covert surveillance cameras used in the "sneak and peek" warrant on Jan. 17, 2019. Jupiter Police borrowed the hidden cameras from the Martin County Sheriff's Office, and a deputy also helped with their installation. The night that investigators installed the cameras at the day spa, no one came out of the spa until after Hua Zhang and Lei Wang drove into the parking lot. Wang told officers that she was watching the spa through her security cameras being transmitted on her cellphone and that there were two women inside. She claimed that she was coming from a party to pick them up, despite that "she was dressed in a grey robe."Also, Wang's vehicle, a white Mercedes, "was under surveillance and had come from her residence in Hobe Sound." Law enforcement was on-scene at the spa the night the hidden cameras were installed from 11:00 PM until 1:30 AM. The hidden cameras were removed five days later, on January 22. It's unclear how police removed the cameras after having to create a "tactical ruse" to install them in the first place. Officials said that the Jupiter Police Dept. is planning to release several hundred photos from the investigation. Those pictures are still under review, but they are hoping to release them later this week. 3231

QUICKSBURG, Va. – With a push of a button, 40,000 square feet seemingly come to life to show off America’s love affair with parades. “Every parade float tells a story,” said Joe Proctor, general manager of the American Celebration on Parade. Nestled in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, it’s a retirement village of sorts – for some of the largest floats of America’s most iconic parades. “Most people have no clue or no idea how big these parade floats are,” Proctor said. “Some of these or as long as 80 feet long and also go up to heights of over 30 feet.” Proctor grew up at the museum – literally. His father was once the general manager. Now, he runs the place. “I always felt a special love in my heart, like there was something in that,” he said. “I was a part of something very special.” So how did it all come to be here? Back in the 1940s, a man named Earl Hargrove was designing storefront window displays in Washington, D.C. His work caught the eye of President Harry Truman, who asked him to design a float for his inauguration parade. And the rest is history: Hargrove’s floats have appeared in every presidential inauguration parade since then. “We have a parade float that came out of Ronald Reagan's inauguration that's over 65 feet long and about 30 feet tall,” Proctor said. That’s not all: their floats have appeared in the Tournament of Roses Parade and Thanksgiving Day, among others. “Earl Hargrove loved parade floats,” Proctor said. “He loved decorating. And each year the parade floats kept getting bigger.” Hargrove couldn’t bear to get rid of them, so he built the museum to house them. We had the place all to ourselves on one December day, but during the summer, tens of thousands of people make their way there to see the lights, sounds and plenty of glitter. “He used to put glitter on lots of different things because he loved the flash,” Proctor said. Earl Hargrove passed away several years ago, but he ensured his decades of work remained ready to roll and show off a time-honored American tradition. A 14-year-old girl was killed and four others injured when falling rocks hit their car at the Glacier National Park in Montana. The rocks hit the top of the car Monday night and shattered the rear windshield. In addition to killing the girl, rocks also injured her parents and two other children in the vehicle, the park said in a statement. It estimated the rocks were between fist-sized and 12 inches in diameter along with enough debris from the rockfall to fill the bed of a pickup truck. The incident happened near the East Tunnel on the popular and mountainous Going-to-the-Sun Road.An ambulance that responded could not airlift the girl because of her unstable condition, the park said.Flight paramedics traveled with her using ground ambulance to Kalispell, Montana. She died while being transported to a local hospital, the park said."The two adults suffered significant bruises and were transported to area hospitals. The two other children in the vehicle had minor injuries and also went by ambulance to the hospital," the park said. The victims were visiting from Utah, and authorities will release their names once family notifications are complete. Going-to-the-Sun Road was closed briefly Monday night while crew cleared the rocks and a tow truck removed the vehicle. The last fatal injury from rockfall on the Going-to-the-Sun Road was in 1996 when a vehicle was struck, according to the park. 1417
